Silly Season 2020

Yeah on the surface it looks like Logano got the best end of the deal. Never know though, guys get tired of each other and sometimes a change is good. Kez has been short lipped and has been giving the short answer in a lot of his interviews as of late and he usually has plenty to say.

I think he will go with RCR if Childress can squeeze more money out of them
You would think it's pretty late in the game to put together a full time cup ride for next season. That's a lot of personnel and equipment to get put together for Daytona in February.

Who said it was a cup ride. I thought I heard it was an Xfinity car

They have plenty of cars at RCR, he could use Dillon's back up car.
Isn't that what SHR gave him?

Re-read the Stern tweet you posted in #2499. It explicitly says "Cup".
NASCAR: 5 possible landing spots for Daniel Suarez in 2020
Richard Childress Racing (Xfinity Series)
Catchfence reported along with the confirmation that Suarez would be replaced by Cole Custer at Stewart-Haas Racing next year that Suarez could be in line to replace Reddick at the Richard Childress Racing Xfinity Series team and do what Reddick did this season and drive in a few Cup Series races for the team as well.

There have been past rumors about Richard Childress Racing fielding three full-time entries in the Cup Series after shuttering their third team following the conclusion of the 2017 season, but naturally only if the funding is there, which it does not appear to be, at least not for now.

If Suarez doesn’t have the funding to land a full-time ride with the Cup Series team as their third driver, competing for them and further developing in the Xfinity Series would be a great option. He is a former Xfinity Series champion, and Richard Childress Racing have had a driver advance to the Championship 4 in each of the last three years, with Reddick winning this year’s championship.

If you didn't believe the Stern tweet, why post it here?

It could be one or the other or both slick the way I look at it. Hopefully you will move on from there. ;)
From the above post that you apparently haven't read. Which one would Suarez want to race with, the Guant Brothers or Richard Childress

I read it. I also read the other four options, three of which were for Cup rides.

I think something's been lost in translation here somewhere.

One reason not to expect Chastain in the #48 in 2021. I don't see Chip continuing to put effort and resources into him if he feels like he going to leave.
When Ganassi lost his Xfinity sponsorship and team, he said he still had Chastain under contract. Nothing had been said about it until now and that was over a year ago. I would think he's next in line when Kurt hangs it up. As it is I am excited he has a decent ride for a change in the Xfinity series and I expect he will get DQ'd before the year is out. Kaulig's bunch likes to pull out all the stops. He wins a race and who the hell cares he's in the playoffs.

Chastain to run Daytona 500 and Coke 600 in CGR-prepared car

“The Cup series is definitely another level. Talking with the guys I’m working with on this car, we’re coming down here with a chance to win. They told me we’re coming down here with two bullets – a primary and a backup.”

“They kept saying they wanted me in their race cars. Of course, that’s a lot easier said than done but the whole sales team never quit and that’s the first domino that has to fall. They told me a while back they were working on this.

“It’s great to keep that relationship. It hasn’t always been out in the public.”

Ross finished 10th and 12th in a couple of plate races in Premium cars last year. Running a CGR-prepped car at Daytona is nice but Charlotte will be a great test and measuring stick.
