60th Rolex 24 at Daytona

How many people legitimately stay up for this 24 hours straight at the track? lol

TV pays way too much attention to DPI
You think its bad now, just wait until next year.

Especially if they bring Hypercars over as well, might as well pack it up.

Leader in LMP2 crunched it. Not great awareness either by the driver, team should have told him to drive off left on the horseshoe. High Class has told him to drive slow... Ugh.

I actually like DPI but they’re paying attention to a racing class with…… 7 cars

I'm trying to stay up as late as I can to watch this. I'll probably fall asleep here on the couch by accident lol

Louis Delatraz was a sleeper pick for me in LMP2.

The young man is really talented and always has been, just his record in F2 does not do him justice. He's flying right now chasing down Pato in the 81.

I just finished my sleep stint and I am good to go until the finish. Hopefully the equipment holds up.

I have a big fresh bag of Doritos and Lipton green tea. That's a little tough going if they get one of those long extended cautions I make a Quik Trip big bag of Cheetos and unlimited KoKohler's.

I am getting 16 hours of total race coverage without peacock. So I am watching the DVR and fast forwarding the commercials. I am at about 11pm on the coverage and will catch up real time around 7am and be non stop then until the duration.

It's cold outside so hopefully the wife will not be motivated to waste race time with a walk or shopping.

Okay, I'm awake. Thanks to everyone who posted updates through the night.

At 0600, we're under caution. No explanation why yet as they do the recap.

Green. 7:32 left to go. 34 degrees.

#60 overall leader with Blomqvist in. #48 is 22 laps down; #01 is 42 down.

#5 Vautier nudged #31 Nunez off in first horseshoe on restart. Booth speculates possible penalty.

4 LPM2 on lead lap in class
#74 has LMP3 lead lap to itself
Looks like 6 GTDP
5 GTD

7:20 left

#54 FlexBox LMP3 spins entering chicane. NO damage or loss of position.

#11 LMP2 'stop + 1 minute' for 15-year-old Pierson for speeding on previous 'stop and go' penalty for rough contact.

#97 WeatherTech Merc has problems. Can't confirm tire or mechanical. Apparently dropped oil in first horseshoe.

Caution for oil at 7:13 left. This is 15th full course caution.

Under hood on #97 with some smoke. Going behind the wall. At least one LMP2 / 3 that spun has to be towed, can't see number. B

Busy ten minutes.

Still under yellow. #02 Caddy in garage with fuel feed problem. #01's problem earlier was alternator.

Green with 6;47 to go after extensive oil clean-up. #60, #10, #5, #31 are remaining DPi on lead lap. 4 LPM2 on class lead lap. 3 LMP3, two at tail end. 5 GTDP, 6 GTD.

6:00 left. #31 stalking #10 for second overall. LMP3 lead changed to #54 after #74 apparently pitted; #54 was closing before then so could be fun if there's a caution.

5:40 - 2nd place Rossi #10 off on infield esses on cold tires; no apparent damage. Most position changes in all classes mostly due to pit stops.
