Yep. We ran track together. 2 mile.
We had a kid in high school we called sperm cell, or S.C. for short, but he didn't wiggle
Turns out it's high tide, so the wading and shore birds likely aren't feeding.

Does NASHCASH have a time protocol for “lightning in the area” or are they just winging it?
30 minutes but radar shows repeated strikes. Anyone want to guess how much daylight we have left?
From what I’ve seen so far, I don’t feel they need to do this street thing again. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Funny stuff, they apparently race in the rain, but the cars are covered and the blowers are out on track. I'm really trying to like Nascar, but it's just sad.

Besides Creed coming from the back, I'm watching single file racing. Pretty much what I expected though.

It has looked like a pretty typical road course race with maybe some reluctance because guys are still learning the track and don't want to push things too soon.

NASCAR stops for lightning because the safety of the drivers, fans, and personnel are high priority in the sport. Flashes of lightning could decrease visibility for drivers, which could lead to wrecks. NASCAR also ensures that fans and personnel seek shelter if a storm approaches.

I don't understand why people watch something that makes them so miserable. I've never seen that guy post anything even remotely positive about NASCAR.
If I hated something that much, I would find other ways to spend my time.

I have officially relinquished the remote control. I've gone to the deck to feed the mosquitoes

I don’t know, but this isn’t a BS rule. Literally any outdoor event does the same thing for lightning.

There is no event, sporting or otherwise, that would continue with lightning in the area. NASCAR has lawyers that want to minimize liability. Waivers also aren't a license to act negligently.
