Storage building

UHC doing bunch of denials on the dental work. The paperwork I received from UHC says, duplicate billing or previous billing pending. I may end up paying several hundred dollars before all done. Meh. Spent maybe $3500 total with dentists in 50+ years before this. Shoulda been spending the stripper money on regular cleaning.

It'll be fine.

Fabricobbled a high quality extension cord out of 14/2, an outlet & a plug stolen off 100 foot cord to connect the heat tape. Heat tape hasn't been used in close to ten years. Did have one made of 12/2 but pulled it out and used it for something. IDK what or when. Been several years ago. We rarely get sub freezing weather for more than day or three. The YouTube weather guys are saying possibly 20 inches of snow. Or 4 inches. About the same here. But problem is, gonna be freezing to single digits for last 2/3 of January and possibly half of Feb. That's pipe freezing weather.

I not looking forward to this!

Proud of me. Truck battery installed. Slime injected into the tire that had been "fixed" 3 times (75 bucks wasted). Greased front end to see if that got rid of popping/clunking & squeaking.

Left outer tie-rod is binding. Doesn't move freely at all. No slack but killed it by over greasing it. <wink> Right upper ball joint didn't want to take grease. Test drove and one pop/clunk when transitioning from gravel driveway to pavement. Drove 100 mph to/around McDonald's to spread the tire Slime. Buddy told me to put 10-15 lbs air in it and drive 100 mph.

Wait? Maybe he said 100lbs air & drive 10-15 mph? Oh well...it's done now.

Have a tight 90* turn about halfway around that road section, did triple J turn on way back and never heard any popping/clunking or squeaking.

Now watching little go-kart sized cars circle around a stadium.

Will order some suspension parts probably Feb.

Not a squeak pop or clunk, other than my back & knees, during trip to Hardee's. Who woulda thunk greasing the suspension parts was important.

I been a good responsible boy.

1. Filled truck with gas
2. Paid 120 dollar dentist bill
3. Had truck inspected
4. Paid rent
5. Renewed vehicle registration
6. Ordered two more pairs of Dickie's work pants. They finally have 30 inch inseam. Or so they say. We shall see.

And a partridge in a pair tree.

Last trip to dentist for an extraction. Appointment 12:50. Took me back at 12:52. Was out-the-door before 1:30. I'm easy money. I'd guess maybe 45 seconds for the toof extraction. They are never fun. Not super painful but definitely not that bad.

Been sick all week after dental work. Described my symptoms to a buddy...he suggested latest strain of COVID. Could be. Much better today. Stirred chit around on the porch. Go get rest of shed materials tomorrow before the tariffs kick in. Hopefully. Be 300ish.

Only time I notice the Gig Internet is when uploading pitchers. Shoots across like in the moovies. Last picture is the before. First is after moving everything 4 times. But got her did.

Thinking about a way to remove the OSB rafter jig without disassembling. Maybe hook come-a-long to it and tilt it over the side? Meh. We shall see. Take maybe 5 minutes to disassemble. Probably need to recreate it anyway. Make it so it can't move/slip. Have about 1/2 the rafters that are FUBAR. Might have to redo them.

Why didn't any of you tell me today is Friday the 31st? Somehow i'd convinced myself only 30 days in this month. No money today. Offloaded the OSB for nothing. Had to put it back as a sort of roof as supposed to rain here. Hate doing this stuff alone. 3/4 T&G is heavy. Tarping stuff by yourself sucks too. 15 laps around trailer cause keeps getting snagged and tears easily. Don't feel great again. Tooth/gum pain ratcheting up again. Eating Ibuprofen like chicklets.

While I want to go buy the materials, with all the stupidity coming out of DC, can't justify spending a dime. I don't trust the new administration. Be shocked if they DON'T shut down SS & Medicare. Pres Musk already tried to access SS & Medicare. It's only gonna get worse folks.

Smartest man in the world released whole bunch of water from California reserviors intended for summer crop irrigation "to help fight the wildfires". Just hard to get that water to run uphill over the mountain. Guess that's somebody else's problem. It's gone. Just gone. Zero benefit to anyone.

I'd guess mods will nuke my rant. Can't be telling truth around these parts.

Gonna force myself to get the materials tomorrow. I need to do something to distract me from the impending disaster.

(7) treated 2x6x10 for floor framing. Have treated 2x8's but decided can use them on walls as top plate. Make all the floor framing same height so treated 4x4 runners fit without notching and cobbling it together.
(7) siding <not absolutely certain what gonna get so 150-300 bucks for siding alone
(16) 2x4x12 to cut for wall studs and lower cord of rafters & support for loft. Might need few more once get it under roof. Lumber yards are within 5 miles so no biggie.

Possibly cheapest 12V electric winch can get from Hazzard Fright. Probably some pulleys too. Cobble together something to lift OSB onto roof. Kept old battery out of my truck just for this reason. Maybe 50 foot of 12/2. Plan to drill 3/4 inch hole in wall studs 30" up, before assembly, so ready for wiring for outlets. Have boxes, sockets, covers.

Restarted Sling Blue. Didn't know race is on FOX. Don't really care about this one but it's loud & clear via antenna. Also appears I do get CW via antenna. Gonna need a score sheet for this season.

Want to go get lumber but my arse is freezing. Says 51* but "feels like" 66. They lost their frigging minds. Feels like 35 to me. Was foggy at sheet till bout 40 minutes ago. But I been cold for a week. They screwed up my internal thermostat during last toof extrication. Some of widdle front teeth were threatening to involuntarily exit my mouth last night. Stabbing nerve pain shooting thru my gums. IDK WTF IGO.Been rinsing with salt water today every 30ish minutes. Still eating Ibuprofen like chicklets.

I WANNA GO HOME!

Wait? I AM home. Sitting in recliner with full winter weather garb on. Tempted to crank the propane on/up.

Did nuthing. Maybe later in the week when it warms up? Might go to the dentist to see if anything wrong in the old piehole. Tried to print a material list. Printer, as usual, said out-of-ink. Canon is such a boolchit company. They are tracking your stuff. If you don't buy ink on a regular basis, they just turn the old Check Engine light on. Removed the cartridges and gentle swip with a paper towel show there is ink and NOT dried up. It's a freaking scam. You can buy a new printer for maybe 15 bucks more than cartridge set. It's in the dumpster. Unlikely I'll own another printer. Took picture of the list. FREEEEEEEE! That'll do what I need.

I got big wood this morning. Been quite a while since had morning wood. $440 bucks.

Was talking to trailer park owner. Mentioned my concern about richest guy in the world deciding if us old folks deserve to get our Social Security and healthcare like Medicaid. Mainly worried about spending money on this dam shed when May not get another Social Security payment. I could survive just fine without my Medicaid except it would likely also kill my Dual Complete Advantage Plan. Then things would get super tight.

He said, if you don't get paid, don't worry about it. Just stay here. Not sure exactly what that means but anyway.

I GOT WOOD!!!:punkrocke:partytime:partytime:partytime:pbjtime::pbjtime::XXROFL:

Tooth been killing me for 36ish hours. Pain pills not doing much. Sent appointment request to dentist...crickets. Just ate bowl of Chunky Veg Beef soup. First thing eaten today. Had peanut butter sammich with it. Been moving my wood around & it doesn't feel nearly as good as when I was younger. Even smashed a finger when i dropped my wood on it.

Crap...lost my train of thought.
I'll be back.jpg

Ohhh! I remember now. Ate and went to pee. Right hand. Had ordered some groceries and was getting them out of box on porch. No shoes on. Decided needed to finish covering trailer load of materials. Put shoe on and in two steps...tooth quit hurting? I mean like you flipped a switch. WTFIGO?

Darn! With all that wood it looks like you are either serious about the shed or planning on having one helluva expensive fire.

Darn! With all that wood it looks like you are either serious about the shed or planning on having one helluva expensive fire.
Finally bit the bullet and got the $35ish buck siding that's primed. LP Smart Siding. Still need few little things. Maybe buy more nails so don't run out. Need to verify how much usable drip edge I have. There is another piece of metal, can't think of name, to keep water out where panels overlap.

Tooth pain gone. Weirdness. Never heard from dentist about appointment. Precisely why I'm a drop in an ask type. They sure ain't shy about calling if a bill doesn't get paid or you already have an appointment. get 3-4 emails, a phone call & a text. But if you email, nothing. Oh well. Maybe it fixed itself.

Tooth pain came back last night with a vengeance. Could not lay in bed. Kinda slept in recliner in sleeping bag. Went to dentist office. Entered like the Kool-Aid Man! Took me straight back and after slapping me around some for not coming in sooner, flushed out the toothy hole, shoved a 4 foot X 4 foot piece of goop covered gauze in the hole, said bite down gently.

Gently? After you beat the chit outa me?

Actually most of that is BS. I did just pop in and ask if they received my appointment request...some confusion...dental assistant that helped with last extraction saw me & said come on back. What's going on? Like we were best friends. Found the Doc...come here. Shoved me in first cubicle and said we'll just do it now. Doc came in, looked in my piehole and said yep. "Dry socket. That location is probably the worst for this happening. I'll fix it!" Maybe? Flushed/stuffed and out the door. Said if not 100% better by morning, get your butt back in here. Prescriptions for antibiotics (which my understanding, not best practice) medical grade mouthwash and a syringe to squirt it in the hole.

After little more research, really nothing much can be done except keep the trash flushed out and let it heal over. Anything dentist does is purely palliative and somewhat delays the healing. Takes time for skin to grow over the bone. So...it's get tough time.

Tooth hurting again. About 5 on the 1-10 scale. Just dental pain. Reason they use this stuff for torture. Slept few hours this afternoon. Was a tired boy.

What a rollercoaster. Still hurting but much less and seems to alternate from last extraction point to upper gum up into sinus. IDK WTF IGO. Did manage to sleep 10-12ish hours. About a week behind. Doc told me if not 100% to come back. Maybe tomorrow if still not great. Haven't eaten anything yet today. No hungry at all. Think will do bowl of oats. Really need to eliminate the Hardee's trips.

In the dip (good) of the coaster last 45 minutes. Let's see how she goes overnight. If much pain at all I'll be standing at dentist office for their opening tomorrow. Starting to get annoyed.

No report? How's the dry socket coming along? I've heard they can be nasty but never had one.
Meantime the shed waits .............................

Think I'm gonna make it. Slept two nights in a row. We definitely on the mend.

Shed will be waiting until probably April. Been across road watching group of brown men build a house (guess ICE hasn't found them yet). Doing it old-school. Crawl space with about 30" of headroom. Stick building it. They gonna build the truss on-site too. I was there probably hour and learned quite a bit. Stuff I'd seen on YouTube but somehow it didn't click until saw it in person. Freehand cutting 2x4? See how/why they move the shoe to fully expose blade and keep the saw tilted up 30-40 degrees, then plunge to finish the cut. You can see the shoe is square. So simple.

Home now apologizing to my recliner for leaving it alone. Need to eat something but really not hungry. Oats for breakfast. Filling. Maybe stuff a peanut butter sammich in my piehole?

They be getting it did. Have first floor all framed in one day. Started the day with just foundation. So, floor joice, flooring, built walls from scratch.

They be getting it did. Have first floor all framed in one day including all the floor.

Edited the above horrible sentence and added three pictures. Nope. Verizon is dying here.

Something is still wrong with upper RH side of gum where we starting this whole thing, pulled wisdom & another tooth, back in Sept I believe? I'll go back next week if still feeling pain and ask for x-rays. Possible piece of bone/tooth/root they missed. Closing in one five months is long enough.

Waiting on this blast of weather to go thru before butchering some wood. Still suspect will be April before it happens. Just gut feeling.

Toofs be fewling better. Finished antibiotics and only took 2 Ibuprofen this morning. So far so good.

Shed is 3/4 done...in my mind. Been raining for daaaazzz. Not supposed to quit before next week plus get in the 20's at night.

You'd think it's winter or sumping. It'll warm up & dry out by mid-May. Possibly.
