According to DBNJ 25k attended yesterday. Find that hard to believe since the seats in turn 4 to the entrance of pit road were closed.

It was raining hard in the infield and nascar turn 1. Where I was sitting it was raining and quite a few people left to head under the stands but it lasted 5 minutes.

I was surprised that the 2nd park was able to catch up to the first pack at the end. In the 2nd pack you had McMurray, Truex, Cindric, Kurt and Byron and they were a straightaway behind. All but Cindric had damage. Took about 15-20 laps but they were able to catch the main pack and pass a few cars.

The flea market is empty. Only about 6 vendors for speedway village. Just finished watching wesh 2 and it’s early but right now it’s suppose to start raining at 11 am til about 8 on Sunday. On Saturday after 4.

Doug Fehan who ran the corvette program was going to sell Dale a few corvettes for him to run for DEI.

Yup. He was impressed by Ron Fellows that he offered him a ride in the 1 cup car full-time in 2002. Contract was printed and was sitting on his desk for him and Ron to sign it. Dale was planning to do the watkins glen grand-am race in August and the rolex 24 again in 2002.

Yup 03 would have been his last season and in 04 would have gone sports car racing with a DEI corvette.

Wish the 500 started at 3:30.
