Barry Dodson has passed away. One of the Greats

Me too . Barry was one of my favorites . Got to meet him at the MacDonald's across from the Daytona track years ago .Was devastated for him when his kids were killed . He was so strong to carry on with his life . I sure do hope that he is reunited with them now.

NASCAR to reduce practice time across all series

Actually , it would b a benefit to more experienced drivers for the rookies to have lots of practice time . The young guys would have an easier time gettin the heck out of the way . A lot of the accidents happen just because slower cars are in the way and can't safely get out of the groove .

NASCAR to reduce practice time across all series

I think the lack of practice time is stupid . It gives way too much advantage to the more experienced drivers . Simple solution ....allot the amount of practice time for each car by the amount of race experience the driver has at that track . Why the heck should Jimmie Johnson get the same...

    Say goodbye to Mikey

There really wasn't any way to improve that show and they proved that . Even the loss of Johnny Benson hurt it badly .

The show with Mikey , Johnny Benson , Kenny Schrader , and Alan remains my all time favorite Nascar show . Nothing else comes close .

SiriusXM's NASCAR Radio - Today's, not so hidden, agenda.....

They are kinda like @AndyMarquisLive , but he doesn't have the huge ego and the big bank balance yet . He may be losing touch with us little people , I can't really tell because he doesn't get mad at us any more .

    I sure wish

The good news is that Brian France is making every effort to make NASCAR look more like the local short track racing you want to see . They aren't going to call it 'local short track racing' , but it will be pretty much the same thing ( minus the dirt ).

Jeff Gluck has been reading the board

Me too . I would make a small contribution . It could be a great way to get questions answered . At the track ,or not , the internet keeps him in contact with every team .

How about NASCAR celebrating Podium finishes?

Sorry if you think that Benny Parsons was advocating some 'coast and collect ' theory . He would have been laughed out of Nascar instead of being put into the HOF . In fact , in those days , reliability was a major factor in Nascar racing . Benny was of the opinion that to finish first ( which...

    If Tim Richmond lives...

Just playing devils advocate , but I would list Marty Robbins as maybe Nascar's first Rock Star Personality . Maybe others have someone else in mind . Thoughts?
