There seems to be a common thread between the top four.

Dover spring race was also close last year with a 9.46
I knew Spring Dover was the #1 race last year, I forgot it had that high a rating.

In the time I've been doing this, I think the record for lowest rating was the June 2015 Michigan race, which got a 3.52 I believe. That was the race where it kept raining on and off and was called just past halfway, and something like 30% of the laps that were run were caution laps.

Odd that race was rated so low don't remember that race being that bad.

I think it got rated so low just because there wasn't much of it.
We were at that race and it was a miserable day but we enjoyed the racing that we did get to watch. I think I scored it a 6 or 7 which is pretty low for a race we attended. I tried to find that thread but we lost it when we had the forum meltdown.

Only three of the top 15 races were Chase races.

I always look forward to the start of a new cup season as the racing is pretty good up until around Memorial Day and then it goes south quickly, IMO. I didn't see the Phoenix race but I was very surprised to see it rated as a 10 by some of the forum members as a 10 means the perfect race.

Thanks for all the hard work in keeping track of all of this @ToyYoda!

A weekly thread that I'm always interested in. It's interesting to see what people think of the televised race that we're shown. It's got to be a royal PITA rooting though all those responses to dig out numbers.

My pleasure! Glad you enjoy the thread.
