Road courses and short tracks.
Toyota might too, assuming Richard and Bubba aren't treated like family.MJ buying in would certainly explain why Bubba would want to stay in the 43

Not sure how much I'd read into that. HMS is in the business of selling parts to people that have the money to pay for them.

A lot of people with tons of money have come into the sport in the past and have shown you need to know and understand the sport in order to be successfulTo be fair, Jordan has far more "FU money" than Barney. Jordan could pull rank and tell Preacher Joe to shove it.
They asked Gordon in a backhanded way who was going to drive the 48 and he looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I think they have somebody already. Probably not wanting to take anything away from Jimmie's last few races.
Brad DaughertyWith the exception of Joe Gibbs any professional athlete being part of a nascar team has never panned out in the long run

Eh if you listen to the whole Brad story motorsports were a part of his before/during his time as a professional athlete. I guess the point I'm trying to make is he understands the business, not just a rich athlete trying to get into racing.Brad Daugherty
One of the things I love about Indiana and North Carolina is that you can be driving down any back road out in the country and you may stumble up on a race car shop.
Watch your mouth.Yes.
He claims a long-standing interest in NASCAR racing. I believe him. This guy is no Bobby Ginn.
Dale E. drove for RCR while owning DEII dont think you can race for one team while owning another is what my interpretation was.
That was also before the 4 car limitDale E. drove for RCR while owning DEI
Truex is leaving JGR ?? Sure misses the only winning CC he ever had.So what's next. Preacher takes a header off the roof of the JGR building distraught over rumors of Hambone and Truex leaving?
What does that limit have to do with it? RCR never had 4 cars and neither did DEI.That was also before the 4 car limit

Sorry about the mix up here talking to 2 people at once.Truex is leaving JGR ?? Sure misses the only winning CC he ever had.
I think KB is missing Cole's feed back as well.
What does that limit have to do with it? RCR never had 4 cars and neither did DEI.
From what I understood of the rules is that the combination of the teams you drive for and ones you own can't exceed 4 cars. So from my understanding the only way that Denny could own part of any other team is if he cut ties with JGR.Truex is leaving JGR ?? Sure misses the only winning CC he ever had.

I think this counts for a team's car limit rule now, that rule changed.Dale E. drove for RCR while owning DEI
I also think at the time Harvick had his fill of carrying RCR, he was doing exceptional in medicore to good equipment. Denny would be leaving a team at the top of its game to what would be a start up and to my knowledge I havent read Denny has had it with The Preacher, I agree the situations are not comparable.Does anyone seriously think Hamlin would walk away from a car with 5 wins this year, and a team with three championships this decade, to sign on with a start-up? Harvick leaving Childress for SHR isn't even comparable.
I think if you give them enough time, they will be discussing Brian coming backDoes anyone seriously think Hamlin would walk away from a car with 5 wins this year, and a team with three championships this decade, to sign on with a start-up? Harvick leaving Childress for SHR isn't even comparable.
[/QUOTE]yes, that was like starting over.[QUOTE="Switchback, post: 1761413, member: 8640 Sorry if I missed it already discussed but wouldn't Stewart leaving jgr to become part owner of haas be almost the identical situation?
Yep the rich guys always play with OPMI doubt Jordan will put a dime in the Company, he will however bring clout and inroads to major sponsor sources.
