If his car would have held up (which I honestly believe may have been kind of Penske "test" car since he wasn't full time), then he may very well have even won Road America.

I don't make many long term predictions but Cindric is a future star. He's an elite wheel man and just needs his race game fine tuned.

So I guess if the team is winning, getting thrown under the bus by the driver is acceptable and to be expected, but if your team is struggling, partially because the team isn't getting it done, and the driver gets fired, he's just supposed to kiss their ass?

seems about right. He is looking for another ride ya know? Nobody wants to hire a non winner with an attitude.

Contrary to the preferences of KFB and MY obsession with Toyota, I like Brad K. I really do. I am very happy for him. Unfortunate that Penske couldn't find a spot for him that the adult table, but Jack could. Also love the manufacturer loyalty here. Great story. Huge risk. Gonna get interesting.

I couldn't listen to the whole thing, I clicked off and thought call Dr. Phil. I think he spends too much time reading his fan mail instead of looking at his stats.

Neither could I. Although I am always skeptical of what professional athletes present to the public in terms of their character, I choose to believe that he is a good dude. However, I think he has become delusional (I mean this in the kindest way possible). He has done this swan song before, and add to that, he knew he would be out of that car at the end of the year...but then he plays the shock thing...and how hard this is on his wife. I want to support this guy, but it's getting hard. Maybe a 40 hour a week job that doesn't roller coaster might be easier on his family? He has had his shot. He gave everything he had. It didn't work out.

I think the last time a driver got a years notification was Kasey Kahne driving for Hendrick. These are both blue chip owners and for Matt to be trashing Penske/Woods is pretty stupid. They are well respected in the racing community. He should have been grateful for the opportunity.

Bit of a stretch. Top 15 competitive? Sure. Win competitive? Not by a long shot and hasnt been that way for a long long time.

The #95 wasn’t even fully Gibbs backed and he’s only had 1.5 seasons with the #21 - one of which has been riddled with awful luck.

Like Ty Majeski... sweeping floors to get an occasional ride in the truck series. Would love to see him in a quality Cup ride, but that probably will never happen...no$$$$

Ty doesn't have the connections with Penske. Would not be surprised to see Derek Kraus moved up from the truck series, but Toyota has been wine and dining him heavily in the last couple of months. He started the season on the down stroke and the Ford guys seemed to lose interest, but over the last four-five races coupled with his extra curricula activities the 'yot people have been seen in his pits.
