Anybody mentioned yet that Penske's gonna want one for the Blaney and the #12?It could be but I have not heard of any demand for them recently as IDK who doesn't have one that needs one.

What does it matter how many sponsors a team has, as long as it's sold all 36-39 races? So 10 cars with full sponsorship? I mean ONE sponsor and not 6-10 associate sponsors that require a different paint scheme <don't get me started on this crap> every other week.
-Electric- driverless carsya in 2025 NA$CAR will be running driverless cars.

You're getting it!We all know that everything is great even if it is not readily apparent.
You're getting it!
Because the fact that the teams can't sell ONE 20 million dollar sponsor is due to lack of ROI. At some point it'll be 10 sponsors to get 15 million or less. Less means less money for team members. The whole thing starts to collapse under it's own weight at some point. What does it matter how many sponsors a team has, as long as it's sold all 36-39 races?
Where do you think Petty is going to park his next. I believe it was said they can only lease it out for a year.Anybody mentioned yet that Penske's gonna want one for the Blaney and the #12?
Yet somehow, the green flag will fall at Watkins Glen.Because the fact that the teams can't sell ONE 20 million dollar sponsor is due to lack of ROI. It collapses if teams continue to operate like they did the late '90s and early '00s. But there are plenty of other options between wide-open and collapse. Reduced sponsor income is driving some of those changes. Plenty of other racing series operate successfully on a smaller model than 200x Cup.Because the fact that the teams can't sell ONE 20 million dollar sponsor is due to lack of ROI. That is something that would not interest me in the slightest. At least, not any further than writing this response.
I agree completely. I watch NASCAR for the sound, speed, skill, thrills and for me THE PERSONALITIES!That is something that would not interest me in the slightest. At least, not any further than writing this response.
I was right there with up until that last sentence. But..... I guess it's your week.I agree completely. I watch NASCAR for the sound, speed, skill, thrills and for me THE PERSONALITIES!
Go KYLE! #18 forever.
Can't say until I see it. I didn't think I'd like watching cars go round in circles until I went to the track. That is something that would not interest me in the slightest. At least, not any further than writing this response.
The extent in my interest has already been maximized. So much so, I can't even respond properly to your post. And, I can say that without seeing it.Can't say until I see it. I didn't think I'd like watching cars go round in circles until I went to the track.
I agree. **** got too expensive.25 cars is plenty.
The bottom 10 could disappear tomorrow and the racing wouldn't be affected.
I don't know, and since he's never finished a full season lower than 24th, I don't have to care either. You think MTJ would agree?
Lol I am not sure why he would care , this make's zero sense. You think MTJ would agree?
The poster suggests that if Mr. Cope had not been in the field at Richmond, the race would have been affected ... in a positive way for Truex.Lol I am not sure why he would care , this make's zero sense.
Oh right, at the very moment I was typing my reply, I had forgot about that caution flag that changed the outcome of the race that involved one of those backmarker teams. The poster suggests that if Mr. Cope had not been in the field at Richmond, the race would have been affected ... in a positive way for Truex.
25 cars is plenty.
Oh. I thought the implication was that Truex had finished season in the bottom 10 earlier in his career. In that case, I'll rephrase:The poster suggests that if Mr. Cope had not been in the field at Richmond, the race would have been affected ... in a positive way for Truex.
SponsorshipIf they are de-valued then they should be easier to obtain. I don't see why a chartered team wouldn't race.
Maybe 3 for Daytona, but after that all bets are off.Do you believe SHR won't field at least three cars next year? A lack of official confirmation this early in the game doesn't mean programs won't materialize. Daytona is over six months away. And Gene has gone on the record saying one of their partners tends to wait until the last month to finalize stuff.
Oh yes it would, pit stops would be much faster if they don't have to wait for all the lap down cars to pit.The bottom 10 could disappear tomorrow and the racing wouldn't be affected.
You don't think for one minute that SHR can replace Penske do you?Only way to get there would be to have 2 car teams like F1. Hendrick, Gibbs, and Stewart/Haas w/satellites would be over half the field with that number.

Sure, just like the music industry has had to make huge changes to survive. Unfortunately for NASCAR, the cost of starting out in the sport or just being in the sport aren't static. It collapses if teams continue to operate like they did the late '90s and early '00s. But there are plenty of other options between wide-open and collapse. Reduced sponsor income is driving some of those changes. Is that a bad thing?
