500 RACE thread

I swear they penalized Gragson, I think it was, yesterday for the same thing...

they did, this is totally Nascar being Nascar. They will say we thru the caution after it so it didn't effect the outcome of the race totally negating the fact that someone didn't have to go to the rear because of the penalty they should have had (maybe Chase E. but not sure)

Rooting and gouging for every spot from here on out. Everyone for themselves. This is where racing smart gets thrown out the window.

This has been one of the better restrictor plate races of all time. So far...

you're not going to beat a car going on it's roof, a driver into the ambulance, and then said driver stepping out of the ambulance and back into said car back into the race :)

What is the 22 doing this race??? Why is he pitting again???

It's like they have had zero strategy this whole race.

I think Aric came out behind Chase but either way it makes no sense to turn a blind eye when you just made the call yesterday. Unless NASCAR thinks they erred in it themselves somehow.

If nothing else, definitely one best Daytona races in the last several years! Has a bit of Talledega feel to it. Guys are able to race and move around during "log lap" periods without causing a mess.

It just doenst look good that NASCAR isnt making the same call for the same infraction

I’m pulling for the 24 I have to say, this kid and team has impressed me so much this race. The 20 too but seems like he’s having a problem

Not sure what is bigger bull****, the penalty on Michael McDowell or the non-penalty on Chase Elliott.
I gotta go with the later, because it looks bad, it makes it look like NASCAR is playing favorites.
