Adam Stevens vs #78 Pit Crew

There are jackets here who actually think that Kyle pinched him. Complete bull****. Watch the vid. Clear lane. I will say that this you help me I help you stuff is a slippery slope when it is go time, but given that Kyle called go time, he was EXTREMELY fair in the way he raced Martin. Martin all but said so himself.
Side Draft is part of the game. It's all good unless it's being done by Kyle Busch, then it's "pinching".

How does JGR suspend 2 members of the FRR team if they are in fact not one team?
If I was Barney I would be livid! I didn't have an opinion one way or the other until this.

So Adam Stevens gets a couple of crew guys suspended for being passionate about their driver and team???? What a great way to hamstring your best competition!
Total BS!!!!! Sign me up for not wanting to see Gibbs win another race this year!
SMH
Lol

I feel like Stevens did right thing standing up for his driver.. and the 78 did the right thing standing up for there team and driver and I'm an 18 fan! Coach should have not suspended these guys smh I think this just makes things worse.. this might make truex team not as good smh.. I like teams to be there best now what if truex has a bad pit stop at the end of the race.. like I said I'm a Kyle Busch fan but I'm also honest and like to keep it real.. they should have just let them battle on track not suspend them

Hilarious watching someone obsess so much over something so trivial as a mistake on a nascar track. The world is in bad shape and this clown thinks it revolves around nascar.
maybe the super serious world needs NASCAR more than ever now. I heard that during the WWs, recreational sports like baseball were more popular than ever as people needed a distraction from real life

The only thing on Truex' car that isnt JGR is the paint, I think.. LOL Maybe I'm wrong and the paint is also lol.
The #7 car on Saturday flipped 2 guys on their heads, The 7 drove off, lost a tire that had zero lug nuts on it and the crew members get suspended? This was Jimmie Johnson's pit crew. I hope I heard that wrong cause it makes about as much sense as the 78/18/20/11/77 pit crew members getting suspended. Maybe the'll jump over to the 48 car? Years ago I helped a short track driver at Berlin raceway in Mi. We didnt do pit stops, the race was usually too short. But drivers would get into arguments/shoving matches, not the pit crews members. But those race car drivers were more than 98 pounds soaking wet.

Once again Joe Gibbs shows his true colors. Idiocy.
Sounds like youve either never participated in a highly competitive sports environment or have had extremely poor coaching.
If you go approaching every player who taunts you, youre gonna end up in sh!t.
Keep it on the field, use your head.
Yep.

Team owner Barney Visser, whose Furniture Row Racing gets its pit crew from Joe Gibbs Racing, said he supports the decision to suspend two Martin Truex Jr. pit-crew members for a confrontation with Kyle Busch crew chief Adam Stevens at Indianapolis. Visser: "Our No. 78 pit crew is hired, trained and managed by Joe Gibbs Racing. They are one of the best pit crews on the circuit and have kept us up front all season. We admire the talent and dedication of our pit crew and support all of the decisions and actions taken by Joe Gibbs Racing."

It's obvious that he has to suck it up or lose his pit crew contract with Gibbs.

So what we have here is a beef between JGR pit crews. That's fun.

Exactly what I want to know. FRR is not supposed to be owned by Gibbs. What am I missing?

Racing and emotion. 18 team thought it was time to race. Truex had lead, he SAID that clean air was gonna win it. Truex wanted to win, wanted the easy route by forcing Kyle to pass him while they checked out. Don't blame him. I would have wanted that too.

That said, 60 to go, its time to race. Truex took responsibility. Crew guys got heated.

Don't see nothing out of the normal here. Testoterone, and competitive alpha men.

In other words..**** happens, drink a beer

"Pious Joe Gibbs needs to stop praying in public. He's making me look bad." - God

Can't beat 'em, suspend 'em. That would be a pretty good way to sum up how many feel...
It really is what it seems like. I'd love to see Gibbs, or whoever made the decision tell what went into it. On the other hand, that may make it worse.

Am I crazy but isn't there supposed to some kind of the 100% rule? And if there is supposed to be some kind of 100% rule arn't these teams breaking this rule by "working with each other" during restarts? If that's the case isn't there supposed to be some kind of penalty? I mean maybe none of this would have happened in that scenario. The whole thing that set off Stevens to come over to their Pit box was the guy sarcastically clapping and stating "good call".

At this time I would like to clap very loudly and state very sarcastically to "The Coach"........ "Good Call!!!"
You idiot! I'm not even a Truex fan, but to handcuff and smack down another team from the same manufacturer is flat out stupid!!!
"Good Call!!!"

Haha funny, but to be fair is he's not smacking down just another team from the same manufacturer he's smacking down on his own employees but not all of them so that's the funny part.

=========

Joe is penalizing one of KyBu's best opponents, and hobbling the #78 team, while ignoring the conduct of the #18 team crew chief.

Maybe Cole Pearn should take a walk down to the #18 pit box...

This is corruption. So much for "100%" competition.

The big lie is that this is an "internal" matter. This goes to the integrity of NASCAR competition.

I would love it if Truex roughed up the 18,11,20 and 19 at Pocono. Nobody hurt, just bang'em up enough that they finish in the back. :D
