My statement Not b.s. not defending gibbs or Stevens in fact I stated his actions are one of a hypocrite. But they are his employees and that's his right to do whether it is right or wrong.
 
Toyota said FROG, and Gibbs jumped. Gibbs is the main front man to a thinly veiled full factory team IMO. I smelled it when Kenseth got the knife. Barney Visser doesn't have any say about his own (not) pit crew? Lets somebody else destroy his pit crew who BTW were the ones that got Truex out in front of the 18 that started this whole ball rolling. Truex was supposed to lay down on the restart and he didn't, so they get punished. Man this really stinks. Toyota is in the race fixing business.

I don't agree with the decision to suspend anybody, but what is the chain of command in a race team? I am asking. If it is anything like other businesses, you have a subordinate putting his hands on middle management, and getting in his grill. Would just one of you show me a business where that doesn't result in getting your ass fired? These guys just got a suspension....and you really think that this is a master scheme by Coach to hobble the 78 team? You seriously think that?

He is the superior. Sucks, but that's the way it is.
 
You know, given that these guys are JGR through and through, that should create a different context for the dislikers, but no, once the spew-a-thon starts, it's hard to stop. These guys know Adam. They are part of the same company. Freakin' think about it. It isn't like they are born and bred 78 guys raised in the Rocky Mountains, and defending the integrity of FRR or anything. Come on man!

And as a manager, he is supposed to lead by example. The fact he got in the first guys face in a physically threatening manner when he should have just explained the situation should get him into some hot water as well. Intimidation isn't management, direct reports or not.

I agree the first guy shouldn't act that way towards the 18 CC, but he's in a bad position with that conflict of interest thing going on. He is employed by one team and is paid by them but is supposed to compete for another and beat the team that pays him. Kinda tough to get your allegiances in line as to who you should ultimately be putting forth your 100% effort? His commitment seems to be with his immediate team (78) and his emotions got the better of him.

But Stevens or whatever his name is should also get some punishment of the other 2 guys do IMO.
 
Adam Stevens was in the wrong place, wrong time, wrong attitude -- he got manhandled and moved -- then gets Holy Joe to bail him out. Absolutely shameful... :rolleyes:

"Cowboy" tire changer goes to the Crew Hall of Fame!

NASCAR should be very interested if these multi-car teams are now taking team orders from a "competitor's crew chief" -- with their 100% policy in effect.
 
JGR is wrong -- for JGR to be right is an admission that NASCAR is like the WWE -- Live Action but Fake Competition.

Those crew are members of Team 78, their actions and loyalty are to perform and protect the interests of THAT team. Anything less EQUALS fake competition.

I'd rather be that Tire Changer who moved the #18 Crew Chief, then Adam Stevens.

That Tire Changer was Gladiator, Adam Stevens was the weaselly boy-emperor... :D
