She faces a steep learning curve and many open wheelers have struggled. I wish she had spent more time in NW, but here we are. GO 10!

Its where shes had the most success, recently. I think the eariler trials she has had has thrown off gregs stats

I believe shes gonna win. Dont make a liar outta me Patrick!
Rookie Larson is right behind her with less than half the # of starts at plate tracks - and there is more expectation for him to win soon ;)

Larson has more racing experience. but I get your point. I want her to win

That's a fair point. Her 2014 restictor plate average was 21st best, with a top 10, and two top 20s.
She even out qualified Mikey Stenhouse at the last Dega race.

While Hate Woman Nation loves to rejoice in her failed attempt at ending a bullying London Castles day in a 2012 Cup event:
In the Nationwide 2012 car, she demonstrated how to harpoon Hornish on a cool down lap at an RP track. Obvious evidence of greater mastery on those RP tracks.

All spectacular accomplishments , that can only be eclipsed by an RP win.

You all know Im a huge Patrick fan, but 2015 is her contract year I heard. nothing on jayski There should be a TON of improvement. I will not be happy if there is not. Even if godaddy doesnt care, I do.

EDIT-according to jayski godaddy is only signed through 2014.
Something to watch.

Forever the best GoDaddy driver

If Danica doesn't improve drastically in 2015, she'll get booted from the 10 and head back down to the Busch Series and race for Dale Jr's team with GoDaddy sponsorship.

Dunno. I think shes in cup as long as she wants to be. Her and Godaddy seem tight. I wish she would have run some more races down there to begin with.

Nope, they need to be competitive and DAnica is not. Lets not forget her team mate won the cup in equal equipment. Danica will never win a race or be competitive. You are dreaming. She just flat out sucks as a driver. Her results prove my points. She is terrible in pretty good equipment. I would have fired her long ago but Im not paying the bills.
ted will be on your ass.

You very well could be right. I'm not sure Tony and Haas give a crap about how well she performs, as long as the sponsors are happy and the other SHR cars are running well.

Not to be a smart ass, what do you base that on?

If they renamed to Go Deddy and did a Daisy Danica Duke campaign , it would be brilliant.

she has 82 cup starts. her learning curve is over. No other driver has been a rookie as long as she has
I agree that the "learning" excuse no longer applies. There are 19 current Cup drivers who already had a win by their 82nd start, and Danica hasn't even posted a top-5 yet.

Aside from sentimental reasons and the logistics I don't think she has much reason to be concerned.

She is brilliant at marketing herself, and virtually a self contained brand. If Go Daddy were to Go Bye Bye, she wouldn't miss a beat imo.
Just sign some new contracts, learn a new set of promotional lines and keep on keeping on.
I doubt Stewart Haas will get weary of one of the sports best cash generators either.

One other note, age and mortality is an issue for all of us. She is a hottie, but even if that changes with time, I am thinking she has already built enough bridges, and alliances with the public and sponsors to remain as a good economic option for a five star team. At least for another decade, probably longer and beyond the typical drivers shelf life.

Those four drivers have accounted for all 10 wins for car #10 in Cup history. Can Danica be next?

As far as laps led while driving the #10, Danica ranks 7th all time (20 laps led in 82 races). She leads Patrick Carpentier by two laps (18 laps led in 27 races in #10) and trails Jerry Nadeau by just 17 laps (37 laps led in 3 races in #10). Danica really has her work cut out for her if she wants to catch the legendary Scott Riggs (165 laps led in car #10).

ACK!!! I want so much for her to more than this....thanks for making me feel better

We joke about Ricky , but he is soon to be the number 2 , possibly the number 1 driver for one of the iconic teams in Nascar . He's been there a couple of years and isn't showing much improvement . If Danica 's performance is sub par , Ricky's is dismal. ( Frankly , I don't get Jack Roush.) If I were a Danica fan , I'd take that comparison all day long.

Ricky has more top 5s more top 10s and has finished higher then her in points both years while winning rookie of the year over her. You were saying?

the legendary Scott Riggs (165 laps led in car #10).
LOL, Scott Riggs.

I may have mentioned this already, but my dad used to joke and say that whoever taught him to race must have told him to just mash the throttle and close his eyes whenever he saw a wreck happen in front of him. Ha ha.

Keep believin, brotha. If Derrike Cope can win twice in a season, there's always hope for Danica

(Historonics Nerd Warning, it is the off season and a slow news day.... )
.... Obviously Cope won the 1990 500 due to a piece of debris cutting Dale Earnhardts tire. But it wasn't absolute luck. He was running second at the time ahead of least 40 others.
He also won at Dover, which is probably tougher or more technically difficult in 1990.

People tend to snark Cope and those two wins and I understand the reasoning. It is a what have done lately world, and 1990 was definitely his best Cup Series year, the only one with wins.

Still the same history needs to respect his1990 imo. It was definitely a good underdog story or a tale of over-achievment.
The story wasn't as good as Alan Kulwicki's 1992, but still a great one with the well earned accomplishments.
He also had a very capable crew chief, Buddy Parrot

The Danica comparison was probably in jest. But she still has more building blocks to master imo.
Cope was running second and prepared to take an advantage of the opportunity.
In comparison Danica still needs to get closer to the leader or lead pack before she is ready seize such a moment.
"Preparation meets opportunity" is a quote of Richard Childress that has stuck with me . In 1990 Cope was prepared, I don't see Danica in that light.
Has she ever been running second when the white flag was waving in a cup car? or even within threatening distance of the leader.
