Looks like Gluck decided to drive all the way from Portland. I am thinking about going again next year and would probably be doing the same, stopping in Kansas City to see family and then on to Tulsa. Would be the first time I've been since 2007, I believe. I went four times between 2002 and 2007. Back then it didn't start until Wednesday.
Ya think whoever is driving a Kunz car is going to win? I do. It will be an upset if one of them doesn't IMO.
thanks for all the updates, what nite is dale jr,s niece.kaysyne first race.
The calm before the storm
Probably most know this, but there isn't any weight limits for Chili Bowl midgets. They say about 90% are heavier out door cars and around 10% are light weight cars. It is one of the big reasons the Swindell's won so many races. There are plenty that are light now. 30, 35 cars at least.
Tuesday night an interesting race. The article itself is an interesting read about how all these guys are in the race.

A Smoke mullet
Pretty cool eh?
Seavey locked in
Here's a good rundown on the format:
It's now only the top two from each qualifying night's A-Main (Monday-Friday) who lock in to the big race on Saturday. It was previously three each night.
Probably won't last long
Gluck is on the job.

Chili Bowl Night 1: Prelim nights bring potential dangers for top drivers like Logan Seavey

thats cool thanks, that place is really cool, how many seats?
Bowman didn't do that well
I've read that around 16,000 tickets are sold per day, but that includes pit passes, so the actual seating capacity is less. The Tulsa Expo Center wouldn't be able to accommodate much more unless they expand it. Tickets for the final couple nights are very hard to get at this point and sell out months in advance, especially decent reserved seats. The video @StandOnIt posted from last night was taken from fairly near where I had the privilege of sitting when I went. I didn't know how lucky I was at the time.
Vacuworx Invitational Race of Champions. Tanner Thorson wins
The Chili Bowl has never believed in time trials, everything is done by pill draw.
on the other hand this is usually marginalized by passing points and Bell would have earned a bundle. Bell talks about Larson as being phenomenal, but he says Seavy is another Larson. Me thinks Bell is as good as any of them right now maybe a bit better.
Larson locked in after night two. Can't say I have heard of Zach Daum but he has to be pretty good. Courtney had a bad night it looks like
Not bad stats...
Thorson way out front. long battle for second and Bell needed a few more laps he was flying
Larson in the hamburger car was hooked up wire to wire
Birds eye view of Bell going from 15th to third in the Race of Champions racing the best midget drivers in the world
yes one of the best, thanks again to everyone for the updates, video, pictures
Another big midget race next year, largest purse in history things are heating up.
