So it looks like either the Big 12 champ or Georgia on the off chance they beat LSU as the 4 seed.
The more I think about it, the more staying at 4 teams makes sense. I mean, the conference championship games are basically a playoff round as well.I know there’s a lot of debate about playoff expansion, but you cannot debate there are 3 teams way better than the rest of them
I was worried about this game. Shades of 2013 when they went into the BTCG undefeated and got upset by Michigan State.Wisconsin has punched Ohio State in the mouth
The Illinois loss is killing them right now.Wisconsin against OU would honestly be a very interesting argument if the Badgers were to win this one, records be damned.
Pretty easy choice if it weren’t for that. Still having four Top 18 wins including one over Ohio State would go a long way in their favor I think. They blew most teams out too while OU has been playing close much of the season. The Illinois loss is killing them right now.

I’d say LSU has probably locked down the #1 seed with this beatdown of Georgia. They’ll leap frog Ohio State.
I think that’s most likely how it shakes out.Mine is
1) LSU
2) Ohio State
3) Clemson
4) Oklahoma
Imagine letting 4 more teams that already failed this season have a crack at the national championship...no gracias.
Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm for Ohio State. They’ve already lost to Clemson twice in Bowl games this decade.Ohio State/Clemson has potential to be an all-timer just for a semi. That #1 seed for LSU is huge.
Well we were talking about this last night, imagine the argument for 6-8 if we take the 5 champs in automatically. How the heck you gonna decide based on what happened last night? Ohio St, LSU, Clemson, Oklahoma and Oregon in, and then a bunch of teams that just lost are basically gonna get picked out of a hat
