After 15-20 laps it’s the same as last year. One car drives away. The rest of the field running multiple seconds apart. We’re just doing it at ARCA speeds now instead.

I would say strategy. 500 mile race with long green flags allows fuel and tires to enter the equation. Allows track position to factor in so sometimes you get the fastest car(s) playing catch up.
