Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Well it looks like Happy Harvick has this race under control now. Since I picked him in the "season-long" competition and I expect that the prize will be something like a gift card from "Bath and Body" I will start excepting bribes as of now. Send me a Rappala fishing lure and a spool of 10-pound test line and I'll send you the gift card :booya:

Oops - Nevermind

Why is everyone saying Harvick has the thing won now that he’s got the lead?

He’s the 3rd driver to pull away after nabbing the lead on a restart - and prior to that couldn’t catch the leader when they were P2.

For a momentum car I’d think KyBu would be doing better with all of that success and experience in years of Xfinity cars. Might be the backup car though.

JJ's car is all over the place. Too tight:

Now, its too loose:

Interesting having a hard time finding a happy-medium for him. Meendering is a very good CC, so I think they will mesh later on.

Hemric is just a hard-nosed racer who takes his craft seriously. This should have been a given from the outset IMHO.
Agreed, but it’s funny to see. Even better will be the excuseapalooza out of the #3 this season when Hemric keeps it up.

Ty and Austin could not even best Daniel in the Xfinity series.:idunno:

Ignoring the fact they’ve won races and championships and Daniel has yet to win a race at any level of NASCAR.

Don’t get me wrong. I like Hemric. He’s a good shoe.

He's a better racer than them. He may not have the race wins, but he will be more consistent than them. The competition got stronger in the Xfinity series as time progressed.
