Me? Knock the banking down so the plates aren't necesary and the field can get separated like it does at every other non-plate track.

And before anyone else tells me to do something else, I didn't raise the subject of logging laps.
 
Would single file stretches be exciting anywhere else? If no, why not?

I'm not one who believes that every lap needs to be exciting. NASCAR races are interesting because of their length. It requires the ability to preserve yourself through the battles in order to win the war. I like the different nuances of races. IMO, single file racing at times at plate tracks makes sense for the masses knowing what the results of careless racing. Guys use to talk about logging laps at Dover and Rockingham all the time when those events were 500 miles.

Good for you ... you never are critical of NASCAR... I'm a realist, gotta call it like I see it. Millions of dollars of equipment being torn up, big name drivers getting crashed out due to the product of plates...yeh you gotta love that.
