Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Really ain’t sayin’ much by makin’ the elimination thing – no matter if NASCAR dropped the ‘Chase’ moniker or not.

It’s still bein’ in pretty much in the top half of the full time feild. Can’t do that as a team ya don’t have any business to be in the championship eliminations followinn’ Richmond. You’re simply best known as a back halfer.

He finished second at Bristol last year...

Jr is no slouch still, but he uses more strategy and intellect to win. He should have won at Pocono last year, but that's just how things go.

He will win, but honestly the thing is when. Jr's one of the smartest drivers on the track and when he and Greg are on, they are on.

Jr..... 18 points out of the final Chase spot with 19 races to go to make up those points..... Little more than a formality IMO. #muchadoaboutnothing

I was concerned about the slow start as a whole at HMS, but I thought it was funny though a lot of people were saying this was like 2009.

Bringing memories of Lance McGrew and Jr's single worst race I seen him race in, I think it was the 2009 Coke 600 when he was just out to lunch running 25-30 all day.

Is Dale Earnhardt, JR working on his multi-million dollar business meetings in his car -- when he should be racing?
Should he just run a weekly game show for young talent, and the winner gets to drive his car in the next race?
What motivates JR anymore?

It seems that he might be too fat and happy with life...

Oh well, he is still a great NASCAR Ambassador for the motorsport.

I think he's the same person/driver he's always been.

Seen his postrace video headed back home, didn't look overly thrilled at all.

I really think he over thinks stuff like he is trying to hard and not just driving

Knew it from the start of the year - I've noticed he doesn't seem to be having fun this year. Now I won't feel guilty about saying how much of a Larson fan I am.

Really can't imagine NASCAR without an Earnhardt contending, this is a blow to the sport I think. But time moves on, everyone retires at some point

Dear Bob Pockrass, what we really want to know is... Did Blaney get free beer from Dale Jr?

There is one Earnhardt left on track.
Jeffery to the 88. :)

No way. That guy cannot drive worth a crap. His racing previous to this ride at all levels was not successful. He never proved himself, and still spends his Sundays making laps and getting lapped.

Just asking but what if the teams he drove for previously were crap?

Fair question. I guess it's possible and I didn't research anything to determine that. Still, there is no chatter about Jeffrey within the circles I know. So much focus is on young potentials who are winning at each division from kids carts up.

The owners the guy’s driven for look like the who’s who of the former start ‘n park specialists.

Could be.

Ain’t trashin’ the boy’s ability without lookin’ at what he’s drivin’ tho.

Jr. said he wouldn't consider giving Jeffrey a shot unless he got his **** together and took it seriously. One race is all he ever got. Tells me all I need to know about his ability if his own uncle of all people wouldn't give him a ride.

The Junior runs that place about the same way ole Smoke runs SHR.

Wonder what Kelley Miller’s thoughts are.

Blood is thicker than water BUT not thicker than money. Jeffery brings a sponsor to JRM he has a ride like anyone else. Yes he wasn't serious when younger but he is hanging in there now and there is something to say about a guy running 10 cars back from Danica with S&P cars.

He's an Earnhardt. If anybody could attract sponsorship, it's him. If he had the talent/commitment, I think he would've had financial backing to get his shot by now. But what do I know

It will be interesting to see who has more money to burn than sense.....

and how much money they have to throw away.......

I guess if you think you have more than you will ever need...... why not?

I don't think I'll be making a bid.....

If you are doing it just for the experience then it might be considered throwing money away...but if you are doing it to help the Children's Charities I think it would be an awesome deal.
