That was the idea in going from ARCA to trucks too.IMO she may do better in Xfinity it isn't such a demo derby. Who knows?

So if she does move up, what's the over/under for how many points behind Joey Gase she is in the final standings next season? That was the idea in going from ARCA to trucks too.
She's behind Parker Kligerman in points, and Parker has only run 11 races to her 21, in lower quality equipment.
And she gets an Xfinity ride.

and a huge discrepancy between the have and have nots.ARCA has been cleaner than Trucks for a few years and she was much better in that, although there was some low field counts.
Zero truck top 5s, but over a million followers on social media...
I had my doubts that it would be enough, but clearly it is. So in two more years, does she end up in Cup with Front Row or SHR?
I'll bet she tears up less equipment than Danica did. Hallie has been in quite a few wrecks, but the overwhelming majority of them weren't her fault. She really only has one fault as a driver. She's just not as fast as she needs to be. Everything else she pretty much nails.Think she would do better than Danica did? I don't see it, probably about the same. One day there will a competitive female driver in cup but I don't see it being Hallie.

Always has been that way though, either way her 3 top 5s and 17 top 10s was probably better than Trucks
I think she'd do as well as Danica at best, but likely a little bit worse. The Cup field is such a step up in terms of talent. I just don't see how not getting any top 5s in trucks for almost two years, in what is a way weaker and very inexperienced field, would amount to any level of success in Cup at this point.Think she would do better than Danica did? In cars that other drivers have won in.
If you can't bring the fight to Zane Smith or Ben Rhodes or even Carson Hocevar in trucks, then it's going to take a really big advancement in speed really quickly at the Xfinity level to show Cup worthiness. I don't forsee some massive upward swing all the sudden where she starts running with Justin Allgaier or Brandon Jones next year, but I'd be glad to be proven wrong.
I don't disagree with you about Zane, but if the feeder series like trucks and ARCA are so useless that the you need to get to the top two divisions in the country to learn anything, then why do we even have trucks and ARCA anymore?Hailie is much better off racing around or getting lapped by Justin Allgaier or Brandon Jones than Hocevar. Honestly, it’s a joke Zane Smith is in Trucks because he was competitive in his Cup start.

I realize this is a different issue and kind of a tangent, but you know what I mean? It just sounds crazy to say out loud that you need to get all the way to Tier 2 to develop.
Ty Gibbs & Ryan Newman didn’t need the Truck Series.
If Hailie starts running Cup, then yes, I’ll agree with you, but the Xfinity field needs more depth and Hailie and her team will make the 07 or 08 a little bit more competitive (if this is the SHR affiliated team). Really, the problem with NASCAR/ARCA are these young wrecker kids in Trucks that are 100% hacks.
Hailie has had some very strong runs in the West Series including a pole at Sonoma with a pretty strong West field.
Ty Gibbs is a superhuman talent.
Ryan Newman was on the "ABC" program in an era where the Truck Series wasn't really a development series.

As currently constituted, and you cannot believe how much it pains me to say this, but ARCA is COMPLETELY USELESS right now. The drivers actually good enough to advance out of there could probably learn more running a test day with a top tier Xfinity or Cup team than they will learn from a whole season of ARCA.
I disagree, no reason that it shouldn't be coed. This is one sport that a man has no physical advantage over a woman so why should they be separated?Id love to see a all female NASCAR division. Then they might find some talent.
I don’t agree at all that ARCA is useless just because it has issues. It’s been decent watching Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth race. Good series for the women to race as well.
Except there is little to no competition. There 4-5 decent cars and the other 15 or so are just cannon fodder. At IRP, it was a forgone conclusion that one of the Smiths was going to win the race from the drop of the green. I just don't see where the drivers are learning much.
Ty Gibbs and Ryan Newman both already had winning resumes though. Hailie doesn't. They're completely different circumstances.Ty Gibbs & Ryan Newman didn’t need the Truck Series.

You're right, apparently for some, they don't even need to develop.I wasn’t comparing them, just simply stating that the development latter isn’t black and white / cut and dry.

Could be. This may be the maiden voyage and the full time announcement could come later. I'll be interested to see if this car is rolled out of SHR like Custers was or gonna be a Dotter car with SHR supportUmmmm this is a full time ride?

The only way she will get behind the wheel of an SHR Cup car is if she brings a sponsor on the level of Smithfield and can win and run consistent top 5 in Xfinity. Nothing she has done so far proves she can do that. I think she needs serious coaching and the first thing on the list is refocus where her priorities are. I really had hope for her early in the ARCA series, she was aggressive and she had the respect of the other drivers. She doesnt have that now for many reasons. Thanks spotter.
I will be watching - want to see her best Patricks' finishes in Xfinity.
IMHO, SHR is grooming her for the 4 or 10.
I thought that the minute I saw her using SHRs work out equipment waaaay back when she was in ARCA.
