Looking good. I'd say it is on the medium-light side. I use dark stain to hide mistakes - I use dark stain a lot.
That sounds like my household.I was planning on fishing today but someone else in the house had different ideas.

Great job! It really looks good.Started working on the garage. It was beginning to look too cluttered, specifically the unfinished wall.
I wanted to make it look more finished, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of drywall or the cost of shiplap or pattern board or whatever. So I hung some OSB and disassembled some free pallets I picked up. Here's how it's looking now....
There's still a lot of things I want to change, but this is a big step in the right direction.

It’s select pine that I beat up with various hand tools, nails and a wire wheel on my cordless drill. The wire wheel is what brings out the grain in the wood. That is some interesting grain. I'm wondering how old that wood is, it looks kinda rough-hewn.
You had me till the Cleveland Browns sticker.WTF??????????Nascar is well represented in the garage, especially on my toolbox and cabinet.....

Short block arrived. I've never seen one of these things apart before. My new short block for my 26 year old Snapper Hi-Vac mower arrives today
Yeah I wanna see a picture of that short block and the mower.Short block arrived. I've never seen one of these things apart before.
Um...it's a flathead. I never even really thought about it.
The exhaust port is different than mine so I'll have to get a different muffler/exhaust. Or fabricate something ...After I'm done with the brick flowerbed.
Pics to follow.
The reason that I like this mower is because of the cast aluminum deck, they never rust. Everything now has a steel deck. I'm going to sandblast and repaint the deck and engine sheet metal. The short block was less than $100.Yeah I wanna see a picture of that short block and the mower.

I'm going to strip this ugly black paint off of this short block.
Good job bud.I don't enjoy painting at all. Thank God it's done.....
Hard to tell in the pictures, but the wall is white at the top and silver at the bottom. The "white" is significantly darker than the old white, but whatever. I'm just glad I'll never have to paint it again.
It has come a long way in three years.....
I see you're a cornhole fan.....
