Edwards will not be suspended

As Hank Williams used to sing:

"So move it on over (move it on over)
Move it on over (move it on over)
Move over little dog cause the big dog’s moving in"

Okay I get it! You're thinking if Denny Hamlin did it it would have made more sense.

But I still wouldn't be happy about him doing it at 190 mph. That's just not the place for it.but es it would have made more sense.

This will be interesting to see what kind of message that this will send to the drivers. It looks like anything is game. I gotta wonder where that line is.
Naw, the drivers know what the deal was between Carl and Kez. It was part of racing and is done with for now. If Kez is smart he will not reataliate for now.

Here we go more yellow flag laps than green now.It will be retalliation a plenty.

Carl says:

My options: Considering that Brad wrecks me with no regard for anyones safety or hard work, should I: A-Keep letting him wreck me? B-Confront him after the race? C-Wait til bristol and collect other cars? or D-Take care of it now? I want to be clear that I was surprised at his flight and very relieved when he walked away. Every person has to decide what code they want to live by and hopefully this explains mine.

How many Carl threads are on here? LOL

It would have been much better to see a shoving match being broken up than a car flying through the air imo.
I suppose Nascar has their first official rivalry this year.

I think NASCAR will draw the line at trying to hurt someone. Clearly Edwards wasn't trying to hurt Keselowski, as evidenced by his concern over the team radio after the crash. Edwards wasn't expecting the car to go airborne, and NASCAR is more concerned about why the car did that.

The duck better watch out at Bristol, or his goose will be cooked!

I think after all the offseason talk about turning the drivers loose, NASCARs hands were tide. What else could they do without looking two faced.

I also think all the drama will do wonders for ratings. I'd like to see the ratings for Bristol this year compared to last year. Hopefully when all is said and done, nobody gets hurt.

I think if Kez was still a HMS driver things might have went different

Robby Gordon just tweeted this: "Just heard the news. I wonder what would of happened to me in that situation? Hmmm someone playing favorites? :)"

Kevin Harvick tweeted this: "i'm thinkging about asking for a refund for all of my penalties!!!!"

:XXROFL:

I'd like to see about 15 drivers continually use Edwards as a ping-pong ball for about 30 laps at Bristol. Mob rules!!!! That would get the message across.
Worst thing Brad could do is "let it go". First thing he needs to do is qualify infront of Edwards, "spin the tires on the restart", or lock em' up, and put Edwards radiator out of his car. The crowd would errupt!!!!!
MoMike

I CAN SEE THIS SPREADING LIKE A VIRUS THROUGH THE GARAGE....!!!!!
It's only going to get more interesting from here on out. Kyle will be the next one getting aggressive.

I think that this is the first time NASCAR ruled lenient to a Roush driver.

Figure 8's would be neat. I often thought it would work just fine on a 3 mile layout, with an underpass/overpass in the middle.

But there is a line you can cross and we’ll step in to maintain law and order when we think that line’s crossed.”

Just what is that line?

“I think we see it when we see it,” he replied.

I guess the you will cross that line when someone gets killed.

Pretty much. The blood is on NASCAR's hands when someone gets killed in this "have at it boys" era of NASCAR racing.

Helton said the fact that Keselowski's car went airborne at a 1.5-mile track was a bigger issue than Edwards' action.

This is the most ironic and pathetic thing I have heard yet. Get the dang wing off the car now. They have said all along the wing has nothing to do with this problem and many people outside of NASCAR said it in fact truly did.

When a car gets turned around at 190+ MPH, they get airborne. They always have, they probably always will. It's got nothing to do with 1.5, or 2 mile, or 2.5 mile. Go fast enough, you'll fly. Lets face it, the purpose for a "wing" is to fly, right?Give them the right set-up at Darlington, and they can do it there too. Were they not hitting close to 200mph in a test there headed into turn 3 a couple years ago, right after the pavejob? Maybe the answer is a restrictor plate at these high speed venues.....:sarcasm::D:D (I should shut up, as not to give them any ideas.)
They're doing a great job of ignoring the 170 LB elephant in the room.

Tyhat's what gets me is when Carl says "I didn't know that would happen" everybody knows that when you turn the winged wonder around backwards it will get airborn.

Kez would be flat out stupid to retaliate.
Looks like it's Hambones turn!!:beerbang:

Why stupid it's clear NASCAR is not going to do anything. It's going to be get him first before he gets you again. The way I see it Carl has alot of retaliation coming his way.Cause between Kes and Carl,Carl is up 3-0.The 2 wrecks sunday were Carls fault and Dega was Carls fault too.

I have a feeling this wouldn't even be debated if Brad had intentionally wrecked Carl.

Either that, or fans are fine with the possibility of killing someone for entertainment.

What do you mean? Brad did intentionally wreck him 6-7 laps into it, remember? Brad was on the yellow line, and held his ground. Can you believe the little punk held his ground on cousin Carl? The nerve......poor Carl...hopefully the world will revolve around him again, soon.
MoMike

If Kyle Busch had done what Carl did, everyone would be calling for his head like Benito Mussolini in a public square.

The rumour is that Carl was heard saying “I wasn't trying to wreck him, I just wanted to rattle his cage.” :beerbang:

Priceless reactions to Carl Edwards' penalty

Kevin Harvick: huh! suprised by the penalty or lack there of..... i'm thinkging about asking for a refund for all of my penalties!!!!

http://twitter.com/kevinharvick

Kyle Busch: Me too! Let me kno how that goes. Lmao. RT @KevinHarvick: i'm thinkging about asking for a refund for all of my penalties!!!!

http://twitter.com/kylebusch

Robby Gordon (responding to Jeff Gluck): Hahaha! RT @jeff_gluck: The call would have been the same regardless of the drivers, in my opinion. I really, truly believe that. #NASCAR

@jeff_gluck one more swig of the kool-aid jeff

@jeff_gluck I like the 99's response on TV. I just think it would have been diff if I were involved.
