KYLE BUSCH VS TRUEX

A thread like this would be most appropriate after the checkered flag flies at Phoenix.
Imo, Truex and crew grind out fast cars every week. That being said, it has been proven that Kyle Busch can wing it in a 5th-10th place car.
Also, two other drivers out of the six that also have a shot to advance should not be ruled out by any means.

I loved how you said Truex has fast cars and Kyle Busch can win 5th -10 place car!!!

Well, I am just being honest. I would be lying if I did not say that. Truex has had top five cars almost every race this season, and it has been fun to see what he has been able to do with these cars. Even in his worst races, he was running in the top five or top ten. Stellar performances, for sure.

Kyle Busch has managed to win in some years during which he was just not top five material. See 2014, 2013 seasons. You can not not be a good driver when you're running up front in any shape or form of a race car every weekend as consistently as he is. One NascarNixon video that I saw recently called "Kyle Busch Can't Win" highlighted even more races that he could have won if not for bad circumstances taking him out. He could have more than 91 wins in the Xfinity Series, haha. I respect Kyle Busch for his drive and passion for racing, as well as his raw talent, and I am probably one of the few here who does not really have anything wrong with him running and winning lower tier races annually.

I don’t think Truex been the best car all year round to be honest.. I could count 3-5 times where Kyle could have won a race this year and something small happened and he didn’t win.. but the championship comes down to one race not the whole year
I see the 18 as likely to make a mistake even in a one off, the 78 has been more composed and better closers this year, imo.

Kyle's crew might just push the odds in their favor, love to see Blainy beat the odds and take the cup.

Thanku for being so honest man.. I see Truex as your pic and your still being honest and giving facts.. I been watching this sport for two years now.. even when I’m not at the track I pay to listen to Kyle on the radio from my house.. and the guy could have won plenty of times this season but something would just go wrong .. and it’s been plenty of times I have listened to him struggle all day in that damn car, and the guy just seems to drive it at least to a 5th place.. I’m not trying to say Truex isn’t a good driver , but I haven’t seen Truex take 5-10th place cars and do more with it.. he usually drives just what the car is giving him and most the time it’s up front.. bottom line he just have really really fast cars man lol.. I have turned my radio onto his station and he doesn’t say anything on there most of the time because his car is just that much damn faster than everybody’s it’s crazy lol..

Funny, I thought the same thing when you made your asinine comments regarding JJ..,
Smh this isn’t the old 48 man when will y’all learn that.. DUDE GOT SO LUCKY LAST YEAR!!! THAT WASNT DRIVING THAT WAS PURE LUCK ITS OVER FOR HIM

So funny things happen to Kyle that robs him of a win.
Truex has the best cars therefore he gets the wins.
Seems to me the best driver is the one who avoids those things that
that take away the win. I'll take Truex over Kyle even though Kyle is the better driver.

Man I wanted Kyle Busch to win after Larson blew an engine, but the more you yell, the more I want to see the 48 win 8 titles.
Idc who u want to win and that’s a stupid reason to want someone to win.. I just hate how people can’t keep it real.. everybody well a lot of NASCAR fans never just tell the truth and keep it real.. everybody know good and well Jimmie Johnson has been getting lucky all throughout this playoffs and last year he won that by luck too.. but everybody’s will say it’s just good driving haha

Why would u take Truex if Busch is better driver ?

My mistake - I posted that before seeing that you have been a huge NASCAR fan for 2 whole years.
Carry on, and thanks for the dose of reality.
And I have watched old races and learned some history and I listen to what others say.. I have eyes.. anybody that can see know last year was luck and these last few races has been luck too it’s crazy how lucky he is.. but I guess I can’t see and don’t know anything because I only been watching for two years.. I know as much as a lot of people that’s been watching for years.. I listen to Sirius all day at work.. the first thing each caller says is I been watching NASCAR for 30 years and don’t have a damn clue what there talking bout smh.. I have learned a lot of NASCAR fans watch to fit it not because they actually know and like the sport..

I had a fast worker who made me less money because we had to go back and fix his mistakes.
An older electrician was a plodder who gave his best although he was slower. Turns out he was more profitable an employee.
Kyle being a better driver still makes dumb decisions that cost him wins. Truex just listens to Cole Pern and the results are better.

I'm not taking side on this one, but Richard Petty said MANY years ago that he'd rather be lucky than good, and he's right. Luck ALWAYS trumps talent, or it wouldn't be luck. As for Jimmie, he's incredibly talented, but he has also been extremely lucky the last two years. He should not have won the title last year, and he should have been out after round two this year. Only other people's mistakes allowed him to advance.

THANKU !! It’s like people are blind or something.. just because the guy has 7 titles he can’t do any wrong lol.. his title last year was luck and he should have been out playoffs a long time ago.. but people will swear up and down it’s his driving :lol2: I just want people to be honest.. every single week they say the 48 going to flip the switch and he going to do this and so on... people it’s not going to happen he is done.. nobody is worried about the 48

Cole Pearn is the next Chad. He changes this conversation from absolutely Kyle to.....Probably Kyle by the slightest of margins. Given this, an Indy type scenario creates potential for somebody like a Kez, Chase, or Delana's wife to sneak in and steal it IMO.

I have my biases, but I'm only interested in honesty and the truth. I support my people, but I try not to make excuses for them. The 48 CAR hasn't been worth a damn for about three years now. Judging by the other HMS cars, I'd say it's much more a car problem than a driver problem, but who knows? The 24 has found speed all of the sudden and the 48 has not. I want Jimmie to win number eight, but I'm not going pretend that that team is better than it is right now.

Well that’s all I ask for is people to be honest lol..NASCAR fans just can’t do that.. it’s either there driver they like or nothing! Just be honest with yourself people lol.. people on Sirius Xm or calling in wanting Denny Hamlin kicked out of NASCAR and saying Denny sucks just because he wrecked chase lol.. when does this madness stop with NASCAR fans?? Denny doesn’t sucker guy has over 30 wins .. just because he wrecked chase he washed up and needs to be kicked out of NASCAR come on lol.. I don’t like LeBron James but I know he is the best player in the nba.. I don’t talk bad about him just because he is the best and play for a team I don’t cheer for.. it’s so backwards in NASCAR.. the most popular driver isn’t even the most successful driver for the season, all this is new to me and weird at same time.. you got chase bringing up his mom in post race interviews lol.. come on man your a grown man.

I’m confused
He has the tendency to get emotional sometimes. That's why some call him a crybaby etc. Every driver on the track has the tendency to not act like an adult in some way, shape, or form during their career even each season.

I'm mad at Denny, and I hope what goes around comes around, but I don't with him any particular ill will or think he should be drummed out of the sport. That's just silly talk and not worth my time.

"I'd rather be lucky than good."

There was a double-sized scoop of luck in Kyle's win last week. Plenty of wins come from being in the right place at the right time.

I don't know what you mean by 'keep it real'. Does it mean "Agree with you 100%"?

Call it luck if you want, but the team has made every version and edition of the Chase / Playoffs since 2004, averaging a championship every other year. The thing about luck is that you have to be in position to take advantage of it, and getting in position ON A REGULAR BASIS takes talent and experience. His experience gets him to the front so he can capitalize on luck.

My points have always been it's too early to limit the possible winners to two out of four drivers (two of them unknown, all capable of winning at Homestead), and that history has shown repeatedly that Johnson can't be written off before he's completely dead. I won't grieve if he doesn't make the final round; with Kenseth out, I don't care one way or the other. But you keep screamin' at history if it makes you feel better. The possibility appears to bother you to the point of entertaining the rest of us.

7 Titles and you are suprised people arent counting him out? It doesnt matter how he won the last one, he won it and can do it again. Pretty short sighted of you.

does Truex get engines from Gibbs?
question is when does Truex get a sour engine?

Point taken, but the 48 isn't anywhere CLOSE to being as good as it was last year, and last year was a gift. Yes, he COULD still win it, but the other guys are going to have to hand it to them on a silver platter. It took an almost bizarre set of circumstances for the 48 to advance to this round, and this time the margin for error has been cut in half.
