48 has low key been the fastest Hendrick car for almost a month now (excluding Chicago). Playoffs or no playoffs, he'll pull out a win this year. Then probably win 4 next year before hanging it upI feel bad for Kevin, but this probably needed to happen. I have been critical of the race strategy on the 48 all year. Yesterday was no different. The 48 was faster than the 24 all day, but the 24 got a 4th, and the 48 got what, 15th?
What is Evernham up to these days?
one way to look at it is that they are pushing the edge. The other is that they don't know what the hell they are doing. In Johnson's case, he's not that fast and goes to the back anyway.the first thing is to make it though tech so you do not start in the back.i hope this cc will get him back up front
He wants to get Jimmie running up front.Didn’t last long for ol Kevin. Wow can’t believe Rick pulled the plug on that one, usually he’s patient on these types of things
Overly so cough Keith Rodden coughDidn’t last long for ol Kevin. Wow can’t believe Rick pulled the plug on that one, usually he’s patient on these types of things

One thing about it. With three different crew chiefs in a short time that probably should tell the tale. Maybe like the preacher, Rick had to talk to the sponsors, and all of the relationships involvedDidn’t last long for ol Kevin. You don't seem to appreciate what you've been fortunate enough to see. They doing anything to help someone that isn’t good smh.. I just don’t understand this sport.. it’s over for this dude just give it up
What JJ is going through your guy KDB will go through hopefully you will stick around so we can see how long it will be until you call him washedThey doing anything to help someone that isn’t good smh.. I just don’t understand this sport.. it’s over for this dude just give it up
Jimmie stopped Jeff Gordon from winning titles, yanked the reigns right out of Tony Stewart's hands as he was becoming "the guy" and then won 69 races and 7 championships against Kyle Busch. JJ won a title more recently than Kyle has. He dominated 4 of the 12 greatest drivers of all time for a decade, and at his best was better than Kyle will ever be. Has some respect and stop this. They doing anything to help someone that isn’t good smh.. I just don’t understand this sport.. it’s over for this dude just give it up
CC wouldn't keep up. It's been a thing.I think the point is that JJ would start decent and finish poorly. Either his CC didn’t keep with the track changes or made the wrong calls. Either way the change had to be made. I for one hopes he at least gets back to running well. Desperate times for HMS.
Well said. The weeks they started fast they couldn’t keep up. and the weeks they came off the truck not fast, they never improved. The rebuilding of the 48 team continuesI think the point is that JJ would start decent and finish poorly. Either his CC didn’t keep with the track changes or made the wrong calls. Amazing post, well done thank you. Excellent first sentence.Amazing post, well done thank you. JJ didn’t need a waiver to win his either
I don’t disagree with you. Raging bias? I never honestly had a problem with Busch winning his title with a waiver, I was however trying to illustrate an unfortunate negative bias our friend The General has towards anything JJ.Excellent first sentence.
Embarrassing finish. IF Mr. Johnson had required a medical exemption like the ones granted Busch and Stewart before him, you can be quite sure he would have put it to good use.
The idea that either recipient benefitted on the racetrack from their injuries speaks to raging bias.
Yes Hendrick we get it. JJ is the Diva -- all must make him look good or leave. It's just business -- Show Business.
Preach. You don't seem to appreciate what you've been fortunate enough to see.
Perhaps if you'd been a racefan prior to 2017 ...
Beers are on me if I ever meet you.Jimmie stopped Jeff Gordon from winning titles, yanked the reigns right out of Tony Stewart's hands as he was becoming "the guy" and then won 69 races and 7 championships against Kyle Busch. You're becoming a joke.

The crew chief must rely upon information from the engineers at track in order to effectively “keep up” as track and weather conditions change. Track position, frequency of cautions, driver and tire specialist feedback, tire wear (and availability of sufficient tires) and other things also play into the info provided and subsequent changes to the chassis and tire pressures.
It’ll be interesting to see how many other personnel changes are made prior to and after the race at The Glen. Meendering was apparently an excellent car chief.
All true and a logical conclusion. And Meendering might be an excellent crew chief with a different driver. Maybe Jimmie and Kevin just didn't click. It happens. OR maybe it IS Jimmie's fault. OR maybe the cars suck so bad Rodney Childers and Cole Pearn TOGETHER couldn't fix the problem. For obvious reasons though, it's always easier to dump the crew chief than the driver.
Kyle Busch provides more than sufficient fodder for use when whacking The General.I don’t disagree with you. Raging bias?
