MLB 2014

Angels are killing the Phillies right now.. First time they've had over 6 runs since August 3rd. Finally. Their bats have been sleeping.

Rob Manfred is the MLB's new commissioner. What that means for the game on the field, I have absolutely no idea. I hope that it means we have somebody who will finally do something to speed up the game at least a little bit. Baseball is supposed to be played at a leisurely pace, not a lethargic pace. It wouldn't take much. They would just have to enforce the time limit that exists for a pitcher to throw a pitch once he has the ball. They would also have to make the batter not step out of the box between every single pitch, sometimes several times between the same pitches. It also wouldn't hurt if more than half of the teams had a reasonable chance to compete for a championship as opposed to the system now where only the richest teams can afford to buy the talent they need.

I hope so. The Yankees and Red Sox have played notoriously slow for years now, although New York isn't so bad about it anymore. But baseball as a whole averaging over three hours per game is just too much.

The Indians starting pitcher, Trevor Bauer gave up 5 runs before he even got one out last night in Minnesota. He then shut down the next 12 batters in a row and the tribe came back from down 5-0 to win 7-5. That was the kind of win, even against a bad team, that can trigger a nice run.

Thats an '08 Phillies win right there.

Garrett Richards may have blown his knee out covering 1st.. Just carted off the field. Easily the Angels most consistent SP this year, and a week after Tyler Skaggs screwed up his arm. He's looking at TJ surgery. Serious hit. This sucks.

I saw the replay of that. That didn't look good at all.

I don't know if anyone here plays MLB the show.. But I just saved my 2nd year stupid pitcher over my 10th season, 495 HR hitting 1st baseman on accident and I AM PISSED.

Another Halo victory tonight though... This upcoming series in Oakland is going to be huge. The A's are struggling and we are hurt. Let's make some noise. Do it for Skaggs and Rich.

Nasty. Looked very painful. Feel bad for being somewhat selfish as a fan, first.
No worries, I didn't see the Braxton Miller injury, but I'm sure I'd have had the same thought process. I'd have thought of what this meant to the Buckeyes before I thought about what it meant to him personally.

Looking like the franchise I grew up with...on track for their worst season since the Devil Rays era.

Angels beat Oakland 4-3 in 10 innings. It feels like the post season out here..

2 up now!!!

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOK AT THE ORIOLES SCORE!!!

Remember when the Orioles were in a "slump" (all of five days ago) and the "red hot Yankees" were destined to win the division?

So, this game is a blowout tonight.

Angels completed a 4 game SWEEP of the A's... Our depleted rotation allowed 4 runs the whole series.

And NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION!!!!! **** em, we're not slowing down.

The Indians have won 6 of 7 and it likely would have been 7 of 8 and a sweep of the first place team in their division on the road (Kansas City) if not for a rain storm that caused the game to be suspended in the middle of the 10th inning with the tribe up 4-2. They now get the Tigers at home starting today at 4:00 pm. They are only about 3 games out of first place now and moving up.

So, who's going to Derek Jeter's Retirement Party on September 28th?
The entire season has been a retirement party. They've made sure you know when his likely last at bat as a dh in Oakland occurs and every other last thing they can come up with. Certain things will be significant. Houston giving him cowboy boots with the Yankee logo on them is a pretty stupid thing to have happen and and even worse thing to show on Sportscenter, don't ya think? It must have been in memory of all 7 games he played against the Astros in his career.

Angels up 8 games on the fading A's.. Who'd a thunk it?!

On fire at the right time!!!

I don't know about your O's but the Angels are playing AMAZING baseball. 20 of their last 23 I believe... 11 more wins and we have a 100 win season..
