NAPA Leaves MWR

One thing is for sure. The next time Bowyer spins his car intentionally, he'll put a lot more effort into making it look good.

This is a very bad deal for Nascar and I don't quite understand how fans can take any pleasure in it . MWR was a hell of a success story for Nascar , proving that a little team could compete with the giants and be successful. In todays economy I'm not expecting we will ever see it happen again. As to the loss of sponsors like Nationwide , Napa and possibly Aarons , the impact would be very tough .

not true. They were so bad at the start that Toyota had to pay/buy JGR to lead the charge. if not for JGR changing over to Toyota there might not be MWR.

Looking more and more like their success is from bending the rules rather than anything else. Once a cheater always a cheater, twice a cheater well...

The fans didn't do anything. MWR brought all this on themselves.
 
I say, thank your lucky stars for all the drama. Nascar needs way more of this, and far less autonomous vehicles (Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon, etc). Sponsors need to understand that Americans have the attention spans of gnats (Miley did what?!) And rednecks need to not take stuff so personally; Napa sponsors MWR, it ISN'T MWR. If you like their company, buy their stuff. Drop the gang mentality.

Keep NASCAR down-home. If you don't, you'll end up with IndyCar.

Funny thing is I see more Reb' flags when I go to visit folks up north than I do in NC. What I mean is that NASCAR needs to stay a little bit crooked and controversial. Otherwise, it's boringly corporate.

First of all MWR was never a little team, and always had top sponsorship money from the get go. They also had huge support from their manufacturer from the start. So let's not make this out to be more than it really is. You want small team success story let's talk Furniture Row Racing.

yeah your right Ted, I think he already proved a little team with rocket fuel could put it on the pole at Daytona. apparently that wasn't NAPA know how.

lol reading some of these posts you'd think MWR started out in his backyard garage with Mikey building the motors, hauling the cars back and forth from the track himself, and funding the entire operation out of his own pocket.
