Nascar Trivia

I took it as 1990 only. I may be wrong. NO 's

You know tkj24 you are correct, I saw that and I guess assumed he meant the entire decade. Thats my bad, upon second look the answer is Dale Earnhardt. The intimidator won the 1990 Motorcraft 500 at Atlanta, TranSouth 500 at Darlington, Winston 500 at Talladega, Miller 400 at Michigan, Pepsi 400 at Daytona, DieHard 500 at Talladega, Southern 500 at Darlington, Miller 400 at Richmond & the Pyroil/Checker 500k at Phoenix. Qualifying for the Motorcraft was rained out so he started fom the pole cause he was the points leader at the time. His victory at Michigan was a huge surprise cause he hadn't really been that good there as of late. Held off a late race charge by Alan Kulwicki to win the Pepsi 400. Won the DieHard & Southern 500's from the pole. Took the lead from Rusty Wallace after Wallace motor let go at Phoenix 50 laps into the race. Sr led from lap 51 to the checkers. He only won 4 poles during the season but unbelivebly it was enough to win the season's Busch Pole Award cause no body else won more than 3. All 4 of Sr's Busch poles came within a span of 5 races. The other two races he won poles at & didn't win were Watkins Glen where he was running strong until a tangle with Rusty Wallace & then at Bristol where he led the most laps before a surprising Ernie Irvan shot past him late in the race to secure his first career victory & I think also the first for Morgan McClure racing. Anyways, it's your go tkj24.

I'll make it a easy one too.

On March 25, 2007, Mark Martin did something for the first time he hasn't done since November 22, 1987. What was it?

Ok here we go........

one race in 2005 holds the record for the most cautions in a race. What's the race and how many cautions?????

Who am I?

I raced in the cup series for the better part of 8 seasons. I had 13 wins in 185 starts.

:D

What what the name of the driver and the track (with date) where Toyota got it's 1st nascar win.

Toyota has never got a Cup win in Nascar.

The first truck win was July 31, 2004 at Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, MI with Travis Kvapil.

The first Busch win was July 28, 2007 at O'Reilly Raceway Park, Clermont, IN with driver Jason Leffler.

RPK, you picking on a Mod?

Really he isn't. He was told that from the onset. Sorry, just had to put in my 2cents worth.

The Busch series is not part of the Nascar Trivia. Only questions and answers pertaining to the Nascar Cup series are permitted under the rules.

With this question being a mile stone race, dont really see what the deal is....but rules are rules....

What car Number, has the most wins?

I did answer the other question. Wuz I right?

For this question: #43 has the most wins with 198

Ok you are right. It was a miss type. What i read said it was #11. but it has 183 wins. and it was printed in a NASCAR book of all places...

OK lets stick with number history.

The #17. How many wins between how many drivers and how many each?

OK here's the deal. You are right on Waltrip. Kenseth has a few more and there is one more driver who has like double what the drivers have. If you tell me who that is we have a deal. LOL

There have been approx. 49 drivers that were named rookie of the year in Nascar. How many of them never won a race.

Approx 38 including both my favorite drivers: Richard Petty and Jeff Gordon

Hmmm, a seven time champ and a four time champ and they never won a race?

Okay, I see that you now understand, but I had to give you the dickens about your answer. :)

It was my fault for not being a little clearer with my question.. Come on tkj, I know you have the answer, or if not you, maybe someone else on the forum.

I am going to check it out and see, just haven't had time today.

It was alot of work but I came up with 16.
I had 15 but I may have missed one so it is your turn tkj.....way to go.

I was surprised to see that many drivers that were "rookie of the year" to NEVER win a Nascar race in their career.

Where and when was the last Grand National race held before the series was renamed Winston Cup?
