NCAA football 2014

been some interesting games this week....bookies probably enjoyed it.

I love these upset filled weekends in College Football. #2 Oregon, #3 Alabama, #4 Oklahoma, and #6 Texas A&M have all lost, and it looks like #8 UCLA is about to join them. Should be quite a shakeup in the polls this week.

Could this guy have e a medical condition? I mean he clearly doesn't realize he's falling until he hits the ground. Almost looks like he passed out. Maybe he just lost his balance.

It cracks me up that all of these people are insulting the Florida State Seminoles for not blowing teams out every week like they did last year. But, they keep winning, unlike Alabama and these other teams that they keep trying to say are better than FSU.

wonder how FSU would handle this....make him sit out the 1st series, but you're right the East is a mess

It was a good day overall. Ohio State didn't play, but Florida State won, both Mississippi teams won, Auburn lost, and Alabama almost lost again. TCU got hosed by a couple of suspicious pass interference calls that went against them (called and not called), but as I said, overall a pretty good day.

Oh, and Akron U won again. I don't expect much from my hometown school, but it's nice when they do something well besides soccer.

Good day. Went 3 for 3 on my parlay. Oregon beat the spread and LSU and Colorado State won even up.

Now I need Jacksonville to cover, and New England and San Diego to beat the spread in the NFL tomorrow and I'll be $600 richer. :)

Florida State is no longer #1 and I can deal with that. Some people wanted other teams to pass them up before, but Mississippi State has beaten three teams that, while two were pretty overrated at the time, were ranked in the top ten at the time Mississippi State played them. I'm not all that hung up on being ranked #1 this year with the 4 team playoff. If FSU takes care of business against Notre Dame this weekend, they should be able to get into the playoff and I'll take my chances there.

something doesn't seem right about the Todd Gurley thing. he should've went to Florida State.
now i see Stephen Garcia is spilling the beans, or is he just mad.

Ex-Gamecocks QB: I saw players getting cash 'every day'

Former University of South Carolina starting quarterback Stephen Garcia, who last played for the program in 2011, opened up during a radio interview on WFNZ in Charlotte about players benefiting financially while still suiting up for the college (h/t CBS Sports).

I saw it all day, every day to be honest with you. I wish they came to me, but they thought of me as some rich white kid so I didn’t really get benefits from that. I’m just being honest with you. I saw it firsthand with a lot of players and talking with other guys. You know I’m friends with a lot of players from around the SEC, and talking with them, it makes the Todd Gurley thing seem insignificant by a long shot.

Garcia later indicated that he received $160,000 in one season for autographs and the like.

It is, however, important to note that Garcia may have somewhat of a motive to come out publicly. He was suspended from the South Carolina football program leading up to the 2011 season. And after suiting up for five games, Garcia was outright dismissed from the team.

By no means is this an indication that he’s not telling the truth. Rather, it’s just to give you some context about the former college quarterback.

These allegations cannot be considered a surprise to those of us who have followed the business side of college football. The side that they don’t cover on ESPN or during broadcasts on CBS.

And they may very well shed some light on the current scandals going on at Georgia and Florida State.

College football fans are the worst. Tennessee "fans" already calling for Butch Jones to be fired. That team has been a mess for years and they expect him to fix it in one or two seasons. Morons.......

Here in the central part of the state, most people have jumped ship on UT. I'd say Bama fans probably outnumber Vols fans 2:1 around here. I'm sure they'll jump right back on the UT bandwagon if they get good again though.
