Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

"will buy on-car assets", is this another way of saying they will appear as a sponsor on the car? This does not seem like a good use of advertising dollars to me. While I do sometimes consider NASCAR sponsorship for product purchases, I don't think that sponsorship would be a factor when I select healthcare insurance.

Yeah in the past I only had BCBS of NC because my employer was based there and that's all they offered.

You are thinking old school advertising. But I'll bet the goal is business to business. They will probably have numerous corporate clients in their suite, trying to close the deal to insure hundreds or thousands of employees. Just a guess.

About the ad with the deaf kid and Denny Hamlin? The one that closes with the kid on his go-cart racing in front of a truck?

"We make it a Toyota. You make it a sports car."

What the heck does that mean? Is there a sports car in this ad anywhere?

Who knows. It's a Toyota commercial, they are all terrible

I have never seen it revealed just what Raj Nair did to get himself fired by Ford, but the former architect of Ford Performance has an interesting new gig...

Father of the Ford GT, Ousted at Ford, Now President of Company That Builds the GT

Raj Nair left his role as president of Ford North America in February after an investigation over "inappropriate behavior." Now he joins the Canadian racing company that builds the GT. ( Road & Track )

Since NASCAR owns ARCA...

Only three cars finished on the lead lap yesterday at Toledo. Pretty much everyone contender wise wrecked or had car trouble allowing the top two to battle for the win.

Chandler Smith dominated leading 97 of 200 laps but blew a right front and lost his sway bar! The car became a back marker almost instantly

Stupid question: does anyone make hauler-sized wraps? Did they paint it because they had no other option?
It's all in the above posted article.

"The yellow is so bright because we actually painted the truck, then applied vinyl graphics over the paint. A lot of teams just wrap their trailers these days, and we have that capability, but paint produces brighter, more vibrant colors, so we recommend it when a client really wants a vehicle to stand out".

I was watching the news this morning and did a double take. I couldn't believe that it was MTJ and Sherry strolling and chatting with the president. No mention of them by the talking heads but it was cool.
