Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

As in Atlanta? ...or Richmond? Pockrass and Newton just tweeted me that no Kenseth announcement is expected at Atlanta.
I wasn't referring to either race. I said next week. I'm saying somewhere between next Sunday through the following Saturday. :D If I had to think of it in race week terms I'd say post Atlanta or pre Richmond. Man, you are picky!

OK, well if we're going that route, I look at Atlanta being this weeks race and Richmond being next weeks race. If I told you that I am going to this weeks race would you think Bristol? o_O

I'm not religious, so the week always begins with racing. ;)

I know I'm different (some say special), but there's no need to beat me up over it.

Martin Truex Jr. has agreed to an extension to stay in the #56 Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing with NAPA as his primary sponsor. MWR has scheduled a press conference for Friday at Atlanta Motor Speedway where Truex and NASCAR president Mike Helton will be present to announce 2013 plans and unveil a car.(ESPN.com)(8-28-2012)

The Helton thing seems kinda strange.

SiriusXM is free for two weeks, (I believe), starting today. It's some kind of free thing trying to get people to sign up again. Anyhow, if you have a radio that is no longer active it will work for the next couple of weeks. The NASCAR channel is one of the free channels for the duration. Thought I'd pass it along.

I don't think that this applies to their internet/app feeds but I don't know for sure.

Yeah, you're probably right. I can't see or think of any other reason.

As far a Jr. goes, heck, we even had an announcement about the fact that we were going to have an announcement. Jr's got clout! ;)

lol I remember that. One of the silliest nascar moments ever.
