An actual NASCAR game #7 moment.....

Yep......... Alan won it by leading the most laps........ Junior was pissed that Tim Brewer wasn't counting them...... Jr. accused Tim and Flossie for conniving to steal his race team from him and so he divorced Flossie and married a young girl....... that was a truly momentous day that had so many twists and turns and ramifications that we will more than likely never see again.........

We've been robbed of a day like that ever having the opportunity to happen again. That moment was special because it was special..... naturally.

That'll be the gimmick for the 2018 All-Star race. They get two sets of tires and have to recap them in the pits after each use. Also, they'll run the first segment on the oval, the second segment on the road course, and the final segment will be chosen by IndyCar.

I was fortunate to be at the Atlanta fall race the day Kulwicki won the title. Davey had it sewed up with about sixty laps to go, he got caught up in a wreck with Ernie Ervin, ended Daveys day. That was without a doubt the best race I've ever attended. Pettys last start, Gordons first start. And who would have ever knew, Davey and Alan would not be around for the next fall race at Atlanta? Bittersweet, to say the least.

So many things that went on that day and that race........ things that had ramifications beyond that day...... as you mentioned..... Davey had it wrapped up... Ernie Irvan took him out.... When Alan was killed Davey said ..''I am so glad that Alan won the Championship..... I will have many more years''....... Davey died 3 months later....... and the driver that took Davey out of contention for the '92 Cup........ stepped into Davey's car........

DVR Alert!

I don't remember what the original thread was that had info on this Logano Busch thing so I'll post it here.

This is on tonight. Set your DVR.

Goodyear renewed their contract right before homestead. Glad for that. I think they did pretty good choosing the right tire for the latest car, probably be better next year.

Remind me, what happens to the fines money? I heard at one time it was redistributed among the teams based on final owners' points.
2008 (?) they started giving it to the NASCAR Foundation when someone realized Chad Knaus's fine for fender manipulation was deposited into the owner's championship account won by (drum roll please) HMS. The folks that paid the fine in the first place.

If the penalty for cheating is repaid in the purse if I win the car will never be legal ;)

Nascar Charity Foundation gets the money and if there is any money left after foundation costs it goes to various charities. So a team pays a fine with a check payable to the Foundation and it now becomes a tax deduction.:D

going to a series like NASCAR Euro, they primarily run on road courses

Wish they could say the same here.

“NASCAR issued the initial 36 charters in 2015 at no cost to the owners of the 36 cars that had been full time for the previous three seasons. The price of charters sold or leased by the teams is not public, but the lawsuit claims Front Row paid $2 million for the charter that BK Racing had used to field the No. 83 car in 2016.”

Tidy.

Not surprised BK is right in the middle of it. I don't doubt the bank smells blood and is trying to jack up his loan. Money grab.
