Exactly. All these "raise hell praise the new Dale" posts miss this. Where's his "they ought to fine the sunovabitch and suspend his ass!" interview? (Dale v Ricky Rudd) He's always a doe eyed "aw shucks, I so sowwy, I do better" toddler. Until Moe Stooge grabs him, but that's another subject... (you did notice that Ross both grabbed his right hand and had the security guy right there before he swung, so he knew that Gragson wouldn't get his in? DBC pointed this out) Dale owned it and basically dared you to do something about it. I'm dying to see him dump the 4 and then deal with Harvick...

This is what disappoints me....When Ross had his stuff with Denny, Justin was like "**** Denny." I thought we had a young up and coming leader. We don't. The Felon has intimidated him and the way he leads his company. Justin is just a rich kid in a leadership position. This Trackhouse culture thing is bull****. I am thinking that Chevy got after his ass after the The Felon got after theirs. I really wanted to see somebody chest up to The Chain Gang.

Well, when Trackhouse wins another 293 races and 14 Cup titles, MAYBE Chevrolet will listen to Justin as much as they listen to Rick. Nobody at Chevy protected HMS when Earnhardt and RCR were wrecking his cars every week. You want respect? Go EARN it.

A big part of being a smart businessman is knowing just where you stand in your chosen field and staying in your lane. Marks is smart enough to see the big picture. Marks was also a driver, and I'm sure he understands when enough is enough.

Wake me with the Earnhardt comparisons when he gets to maybe 10 wins, a championship, and hes not having “tough conversations” with his owner and manufacturer. The Imitator is all Ross is. I remember the garage and industry respected Earnhardt, you think if Ross wins the Daytona 500, they’re lining up on pit road to shake his hand?

Oh of course I was giving a baseline which in fairness and in his defense it’s tough for anyone to measure up to Dale. My whole issue is the stupid look, goofy smile, and cheesy “My fault, I owe those guys and I’m going to go to their shop to make it up to them” interview he gives after driving through someone. It’s disingenuous, I’d actually be more accepting with how he drove if he was more like “racing hard, we’re a newer team and trying to get all I can out there” and owned up to his driving style rather than the charade we get when does mess up. Sr owned up to it, this dude doesn’t.

Really? So, Justin should be good with 0 championships....and 3 wins compared to the gaudy stats of The Felon? That makes 0 sense. Just what is the "big picture?" Ross is the points leader after being 2nd last year. There is a bigger picture? The Felon doesn't like it. He found a way into the "revolutionary" culture of Trackhouse, and is living rent free. Marks never even sniffed what Ross already has as a driver BTW.

I think Ross is just playing mind games honestly. Points leader after being 2nd last year...It's working. When he comes up on somebody, I don't think they have a clue about how to race him. In stark contrast to the "I race you the way you race me" absolute bull**** that nobody lives by. Not a bad idea honestly.

So due to their youth in the business, Trackhouse should just take a $#*+ sandwich from “THE GREAT PAPA H” and eat it? Tell Ricky The Hutt that “OK, sorry, I’ll make sure Ross doesn’t hurt your cars anymore…you can count on that sir…please don’t send us reduced HP motors, and PLEASE don’t cut us off 😭”.

HMS has a contract to produce NASCAR sanctioned equipment. They need to fulfill their commitment and NOT threaten teams in order to INFLUENCE THEIR COMPETITION. THAT is something NASCAR should not let get started…it can start some bad mojo in this sport.

I mean, you can look at it like this. Chevy, Ford, and Toyota are Mafia Syndicates (obviously not literally, but you get the point), and Hendrick's the Don when it comes to Chevy.

Numerous similarities between Ross and Dale, Sr., and thinking back to when Dale, Sr. started in the series. I'm old enough to remember what transpired in the mid-to late '70's with Earnhardt. Ross has the ability and temperament to prove he is as good as many feel he is. Keep in mind, Dale,Sr. did not become the drivers spokesman and direct line to the NASCAR front office for many years and in between, there were a lot of hard feelings, a few punishments and a little payback as was seen during the early years with Ernie Irvan. Earnhardt, Sr., drove aggressively when he had to and by controlling that aggression eventually earned the respect he received. Ross will do the same.
Rick Hendrick was within his rights to put Justin on notice and Justin apparently got the message loud and clear. This will become a game changer.
Once again, while there are those who decry Rick Hendrick for his criticism he was doing what team owners and drivers do best, police their own.

I'm a cheerleader for Ross. I think he has great potential to rival the best of the best, once he controls his aggression. His problem was Justin allowing him to have free rein and got away with it for too long. Ross will win and he will not disappoint his naysayers nor those who want to see payback. He has been given his limits and it is up to him. In the end, my prediction is, he will become one of the greats in the sport and receive respect from fellow drivers and team owners.
 
The million dollar question now is if Ross tones it down after Justin talks to him, will he still be running in the front of the pack or will he be too nervous to wreck somebody and everyone will be easily passing him?

Ross is in everyone's head, and honestly, Kyle Larson's proven to be easy to psych out. Ty Gibbs psyched him out last year.

I never said Marks should be good with nothing. I said when his team has accomplished a LOT more than it has so far, then this situation might get handled differently. Do you think Rick is handling this the same way if Ross drove for RCR? The bigger picture is while Trackhouse has a LOT going for them, they are still the new kid on the block, and it would serve Justin well to not make enemies out of THE guy at Chevrolet. What happened to Furniture Row for not being the obedient seen and not heard child was WAY worse than anything Rick said to Justin.

Seems like a disingenuous comparison, no? Dale didn’t show up and instantly get respect and he feuded with a lot of his competitors in the 80s and early 90s (Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Geoffrey Bodine, Ricky Rudd, and others I am sure I am forgetting). The garage and industry did not respect Dale when he was just starting out, he had to earn it. If Dale were starting today, I would bet my life savings that the NASCAR online fans would bitch about his driving style.

When Dale won the Daytona 500, it had been 20 years since his first full time season in Cup. Let’s check in and see where Ross is by then. They may be lining up to shake his head, we don’t know yet.

It hilarious to compare Hendrick motorsports and what they have done in Nascar to a rap star/rich kid organization in the first place. I'm glad Trackhouse is in the sport, but some people need their heads examined.
