I actually think that's a situation he can excel in. Only complete hacks can't win in a JGR Xfinity car, and Aric is a LONG way from being a hack. I don't know how many races he is running, but I could easily see a couple wins.Now we can watch Aric underachieve on a part time basis

If its a hard ticket to get and sell out people want it. No matter what the capacity is if the casual fan tunes in and sees half full stands they're less likely to watch the event.Why is having to pay $300-400 for a Cup race a good thing compared to $50-100 (maybe 50-75 is CHEAP but still) at tracks with really good racing???
Seating capacity and empty seats literally affects no one.

Same thing with college football if people are flipping through the channels and come across a bowl game with tons of open seats they typically don't watch it for long. Its all about perception if its packed you think its a good event so you watch it to see why.
The last Xfinity race with announced attendance there in 2012 had 50k. If IndyCar can bring in temporary suites and grandstands to have 35-40k each day for two days of a doubleheader race weekend there, I don’t see why NASCAR can’t - unless they really want a “premium” crowd.So that’s why Road America kept selling out the way it did then. I understand what you are saying but 25K is a LOW capacity.
I’m pretty sure the 2009 US Cellular 250 @ Iowa had about 59,000 people with Kyle Busch & Brad Keselowski running the show.
These attendance numbers are gatekeeper type pathetic in a series that needs higher ratings and great attendance.
It’s unbelievable how underrated tracks like Michigan, Las Vegas, Pocono, Gateway, Kansas are right now.

Yeah. They want the “premium” crowd that helps grow things.
I think NASCAR just wants the headline of "sellout" so they can create demand for future races. For some reason, people like the illusion of exclusivity.
