Think have almost everything here or ordered to do the AC work on my truck. Asked local shop what price would be to vacuum and charge it. No repairs. Just connect machine, vacuum for 20-30 minutes, set charge level and push button to charge.
$365.00 to shoot 2 lbs in.
Sweet jebus guys.
Got three 12oz cans of 134A from WALMART with no extras in it like stop leak or oil/dye. Just 134A. Ordered a gauge set from Amazon. The freon & gauge set was less than 100 bucks. Have an old-school venturi vacuum dealio to suck it down. That's how it was charged nearly 20 years ago when I last did it. Probably go back to Walmart and buy a plastic tote that's about 4 foot x 18"x8" to use as a drain bucket so don't lose too much antifreeze.
I can replace the condenser and orifice tube anytime I want. Just don't want to install the accumulator/dryer until I'm ready to shoot the juice in. Do need to get a small funnel so can pour oil in condenser. Could do the old baggie and rubber band deal I suppose. I prefer pouring. Less messy.
I'll replace the condenser & orifice tube, vacuum it down and see if it holds vacuum, then change dryer and shoot the 134 in. This ain't my first rodeo.
Still waiting to hear from eye doc to see when we start poking holes in my eye. Do have some questions/concerns about this treatment. The research I've done indicates the injections will treat the Edema but NOT the ERM. So...? ERM requires Vitrectomy (suck the jello out) then peel the membrane. Then fill the eye with 15/40 Rotella to stabilize it.
Maybe they said saline solution? Body absorbs the saline and then produces its own fluid to fill the eye. The peeling deal takes about an hour! Good drugs involved.
