The difference between crock pot and Dutch oven is that you can’t sear a roast in a crock pot. Those yummy bits on the bottom of the crock pot after searing add a lot of flavor.Had a pot roast done in a new fangled instant pot recently, just as tasty as done the old fashioned way.
