so Paul, are you a Jr fan?

I don't mind him at all. Just what he brought into the sport is what I object to.

Why I let someone who said Kerry Earnhardt is a "kick ass" driver get me this riled up is beyond me.

But seriously folks, he is the fan that NASCAR is chasing right now.  He is the target audience.  No idea why he likes Jr, just knows that he has to.

What do you mean by that

Let me ask you something, if you bash racing, and think its so much crap... then why do you even bother with it?

Hey Forrest...it's plate racing that I find to be crap. Sinkin in yet?

I mean that this person has probably been watching racing for one, maybe two years. Saw Jr on MTV and decided, "Hey, he must be the best driver in NASCAR. He's my favorite!"

Tuned in to the next race and saw that Jr would have 20 minutes of pre-race specials and flashy music video clips and said, "Yup, he's the best!"

Like I said he's NASCAR's new breed of fan. He's what MTV videos get you.

I ain't saying some of the races are fixed, the DRIVERS are saying some of them are fixed.

Jimmy Spencer, before Junior won Daytona in July 2000:" We all knew who was going to win before we unloaded off the truck. It's been a race for second all week."

Seems pretty clear cut to me. Junior found himself about 12th with 10 or so to go, Benson on his way to a win, then the mystery caution for the Frenchman (debris). Then Junior passes 8 cars a lap, while not another car could break the draft all night. Then he does donuts in the grass, everybody cries because he wins one for daddy's memory, we all are supposed to feel great, blah blah blah.

Or am I the only one who remembers that? Or does it not count because it was Jimmy Spencer?

DEI is a joke. Junior is a joke. Michael AllLip is a joke. Steve Park ain't funny no more, but he used to be a joke. So go ahead and wave them pompoms. Come Monday, no one in the stock car world will have to worry about a DEI car again until February.

Uhh, no... I've been following Jr since the Busch days thank ya very much. Racing has been in my family since I was 5, so I've grown on it...and its what I love. If you dont like what I'm typing, or just wanna say something smartass about it, keep it to yourself.

They can't do much more than hold the pedal to the floor and turn left. If they do, they'll get hung out..........I think it takes a degree of skill to drive those tracks.........you are racing 200 mph, inches away from 42 other cars. And when one driver does let up for whatever reason, the "big one" happens. Is it skill if the car that's in front of the car that's in front of you blows a tire and you go low while he goes high and you actually miss it? Nope, that's pure luck. When the S.H.T.F. you just act. You have milli-seconds to act. You could have 100 spotters along the track, but they ain't gonna help you a bit, unless you are way back in the fiesl and the crash happens up front.

Even then, I think I would just stop my car and wait for the pace car.

TWF: I'm hoping you will be eating some tasty humble pie by November, my friend. ;)

I like to root for guys that had to work hard to get where they are in life!

I consider guys that were given everything to pretty much be losers!

Thats my stand and I am sticking to it!

As for all the Jr fans out there. I think they all came aboard the program because of the Bud Sponsorship. You Gotta support your favorite Beer Distributer!!!!!!!!!

:D

Hell BudStud if this keeps up your looses you Rookie Stripe tonight for posting over 200

You take what Jimmy Spencer say to heart? The same driver who threw out a piece of padding on the track several years ago so a caution would be thrown so he wouldn't get lapped?

And you think Jr, Gordon, Stewart, Labonte, Earnhardt, Pearson, Roberts, Kulwicki, Allison, Petty etc etc haven't done that?

I doubt it. :)

Where is AllLip gonna contend?

Where, for that matter, will Junior? Charlotte? Nope, too many other cars to beat that run good there. Atlanta? Don't see it happening without a plate to bring the field back to him. The Rock? Uh-uh, too much like work. Martinsville? No way, gotta save the brakes and be smart there, dq's Junior. Phoenix? His record on flat tracks ain't impressive. Miami? Stewart owns the place.

I calls em like I sees em, sowwy booboo.

Thats Racing get over with it youd do that if you had a chance to keep a lap you would spin someone out to get your lap(Kurt Busch)

That was just the paper from his donuts. He forgot the box was in the car! And yes I think they all have or have wanted to do that!

I thought this was a top 10 for Talledega post. Either way, restrictor plate races involve NO SKILL. All it is is follow the leader and wait until the big one happens. The race is more for the spotter than anything else. Its also all aero, the best aero package will win, even if its Buckshot behind the wheel.

Tn Ward Fan knows his nascar for sure!

This was a clear cut case of fixing a race as much as possible. It was so obvious watching it on TV!

Hate to say it but I honestly believe it was true!

Yep. Unlike some people who post on here, I am able to go past physical appearance when it comes to a driver. Spencer can and has driven circles around anything DEI has ever put in a car. Period.

Yeah, Jr never won at Texas, Richmond, or Dover.

Some of Junior's stats THIS year:

4th at Rockingham
5th at Martinsville
2nd at Atlanta

:)

Hey I even will maek a bet that some of the best drivers will be in the big one because of the new fuel package. some rookie will forget to pit and cut infront of someone passing him infront of the big pack and screw everyone I bet that will be the cause of The Big One

If you can count a driver's wins on one hand, you have no place to be touting his amazing abilities.

the one thing you learn from being an Earnhardt fan.........the Earnhardts are so damn good that the only excuse some people can find as to why they are good is because they are cheaters or because races are fixed for them

everyone that has a clear head knows that doesnt happen....they are just that good :)

Never said he had amazing abilities.....just making a point that he can win at other tracks.

Yeah, last time I saw Jimmy Spencer drive around anything was the pit road wall to get to the garage. Oh yeah, the wreck was cause by the excess glaze on the donuts getting on the steering wheel, causing his hands to slip off. Who can ya blame for that one this time Jimmy, Krispy Kreme guy?
