Would this be an inopportune time to ask who is going to finish top ten Sunday?
 
Race City


I saw them race here in the Charlotte area and I honestly never saw any talent in any of them! Not to be mean but they just didn't do very well! There are tons of local drivers that kick butt and are never given that kind of opportunity!
 
Just a few stats, for comparison purposes:

Sterling Marlin

Career Wins: 8
1st Winston Cup race: 1976

Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Career Wins: 6
1st Winston Cup race: 1999

He's someone that got banned a long time ago. Flyboy. Of course, I'm a softy and let him back in and he's done nothing but make me sorry for it.
 
hey if you guys can get to a restritor plate race.....i say go......i didnt think it would be exciting...but damn i went to the Pepsi 400 that was exciting as hell being there live

It took Tony over 10 years just to get a test in a major racing series (IRL) and Tony was winning everything in sight!

Jr one day just jumps into a Busch car and  gets his chance!  

I just enjoy watching the underdogs that had to struggle to get into Winston Cup do well!

No, i don't think I said there was.......And by the way, Jr did race in the late model stock series...with Kerry and Kelly. And Kelly kicked everyone's ass.

And also, Dale,Sr didn't do anything for them, ecept make sure that they had the proper safety equipiment. Jr and Kerry worked on the car.

Junior walked into a car that Sterling drove 20+ years to get one comparable. Apples and oranges.
 
Kelly has more talent than Jr does........your right about her kickin Jr's and Kerry's asses
 
We might need a restrictor plate on this thread if it gets more exciting in here

Whether there is a race on Sunday or not, this thread will keep growing and growing and growing. Will this thread have as many pages as the race will laps, we'll have to wait til Sunday. :p

Where is TRL or HS when we need them.

I wouldn't call us bums, trying to post something and then read the page you missed isn't being lazy. This thread is taking effort out of me.
 
Ciggie, it's going to be follow-the-leader with these new gas tank regulations this weekend. I'm just hoping it's not a napper.
 
I've thought about disabling private messages altogether. If it isn't someone saying I'm reading them, it's someone abusing them to harass others.

Here we are, going at it like newlyweds overdosed on Viagra, and it's just Monday. God help us Sunday night. Paul might be the only one left!
 
That's not true, Paul. I've used pm's before and have gotten sent pm's for non-malicious reasons. I think they should be kept, unless people are starting to seriously abuse them.

Never thought of that, but private messages can be forwarded to a moderater if it's harrassment.

if someone is harrassing you by PM, just cut and paste it into a PM to Paul or another mod......

Yes we all must fear Paul's wrath. One naughty word or disagreement out of you and you are banned. Because forums are for agreeing only no arguing unless it is followed by an apology. I think we all owe an apology to everyone for how big this thread has gotten. :p
