What page is that on , this thread is like 15 pages long already . What year are you going to El Dora , I think you already missed the first one .:D
Oh you'll know when we're there, TRL will probably have to give us our own sticky thread. :D

No pavement, Trucks on a small dirt track out in the middle of nowhere, DP's bringing a golf cart, plenty of beer, plenty of good food, good times had by all, sounds like torture wish I didn't have to go. :p

Grab the beer Johali. We are ready to roll!

Okay, where to start, I called the wife in to look and she said "really" are we going off-roading and mud digging on the Eldora track, sounds like fun, damn what a ride. And me, golf cart my ass that's a race track limo. To hell with a drink holder I'll bring a 5 point seat belt and hold one in each hand. Wait til we post the pictures of the fresh local Gulf seafood and venison steaks and sausage I will be bringing for Monday and Tuesday nights dinners. To paraphrase TRL, Holy Moly. :D

No drinking and driving now.
We're good, the spouse don't drink, she says that I have that part covered quite well.

not to bring down the party, but wanted to make you aware of what i read a couple of years ago at eldora...

local county crackdown on late night parties and golf carts/4-wheelers, especially crossing the highway....

maybe that has been taken care of, or maybe it's only a problem for those truely asking for trouble, just wanted to provide a heads up to first timers looking to have a great time.

also should mention that i am still damn jealous and would love to be riding in that vehicle. no cup holder necessary. my beers don't last long enough to sit them down!!!

hope you have a great time and become a convert to dirt.:D

I already like dirt racing, Check the google earth maps on the previous page, we will only be in the golf cart/mud bogger on track property, thanks for the info though. :D

That's nice DPK. It is just like the one that we have on the race team except you have a lot fancier wheels. I would need a step ladder to get in that one.LOL:D Does your back seat flip over to become a cargo bed?
Yes, it flips over to become a flatbed of sorts with storage underneath.

Yes, I had read that in the rules. We'll stick to the campgrounds that we're allowed.

Just looked at it again DP, damn that's nice, are you really gonna let me ride or are you gonna drag me over there with a rope?

That's a nice little extra feature. Thats what I use to haul parts around the pits. You might be surprised at what you can haul on that little bed. I can actually carry a set of Goodyear racing slicks or an aluminum engine block on that flat bed. You and Johali are going to have a blast .:)

Bump, how many days DP, time to torture'em again. :)

I've been clicking on this thread to get your number of 'views' up . Twenty three hundred are mine , the rest are some guy in Russia with a man crush on you two .:D

Some dirt tracks across the Southeast hosted test sessions for the upcoming Eldora truck race yesterday. The drivers with little to no dirt experience are really going to struggle.

I agree. You'll really be able to tell who grew up on dirt and who didn't, for the most part.

I'm all good now, got my Loudon tickets today, all is right in the world. TRL there will be pictures galore, count on it.

I'm getting antsy, too. Can't wait for updates and pics. We must have pictures!

please, Please, PLEASE with the pictures!!!

gotta say i hope everyone has a blast and gets to see a great race. i know i'm a little nervous about how a dirt track will hold up with the technology of the tires and the trucks. i just hope the track allows the racers to put on a great show.

to those of you getting to experience the event: focus on the good times. cause those are the lies you'll be telling us 20 years from now!

still jealous!

In two weeks we'll be on the road for our three week swing from here to Loudon to Niagara Falls to Eldora and back home with one to three day stops along the way but I'm sure the truck race will be the highlight of the trip, we're leaving on July sixth

I guess a good name for the thread when we leave next Saturday would be "Road to Eldora: The RFs contingent" whatcha think.
