World of Outlaws 2019

It's wild that these sprint cars can tag the wall that hard and keep flying.

This is a perceptive comment, though for me the series started to decline in the '00s and has been steadily gaining steam again for many years. Still, this is a great period right now.

I would say dirt racing has never been bigger in all honesty

They used to show WoO sprint car racing on cable TV, ended in 06, Thursday nights back in the day.

A couple of the CBS Sports Network tape delay shows going live would be cool. Show a midsummer or spring race live and then the World Finals in Charlotte that they already show.

That was impressive tonight the way Brad Sweet chased down Schatz and Gravel to win in race with no cautions. He is the man right now.

Second straight night with a caution-free feature, this one was close and hard fought for the win and throughout the top ten.

It's not Outlaws but its PA Speedweek I'm planning to head to Selinsgrove tomorrow rumor seems to be Smoke will be there. Then planning to go to Grandview Tuesday night where Rico Abreu is confirmed and Kyle Larson is rumored.

California or Washington needs a Speedweek like Ohio & PA lol.

Hell I think the 360 Lucas Oil ASCS has one in the midwest too.

Another big win for Sweet. I wonder if Pittman's car got hurt by that tangle with the lapped car.

Holy **** I'm at Selinsgrove and Ryan Smith took a real scary ride. Hes ok. Coming into turn 1 he lost the wing and started tumbling probably about 5-6 times real hard

Real lucky to walk to the ambulance, but is being taken to the hospital for a check

Christopher Bell sets quick time over James McFadden at Grandview for PA Speedweek this place is bad fast for Sprints 11.6 second laps 3/8th mile

McFadden is going to get a win soon, he has been coming on. I hope Kahne leaves him in that car.

He almost had Bell about 3 times lap traffic and Bell taking away his line on the cushion was what kept him from the W

KKR is on fire right now, just hope they can keep it going through the fall.

The middle portion of tonight's race was marred by caution after caution, then there was a long green flag run to the finish. This is definitely not a series or form of racing that benefits from a bunch of cautions and bunched-up restarts, which is one of the many reasons to love it.

Schuchart made a mistake getting out of the main groove once there was rubber down to try to lap Haudenschild, and Sweet was there to pounce. He's got it all working for him right now and is very patient to let these races come to him.

They were battling the rain tonight at Cedar Lake. One long rain delay mid-program, then they got the A-Main going only to the showers return with seven laps completed after a crash. They're going to finish tonight's race tomorrow before the Night #2 program, so it's a twin bill tomorrow.

It was good to see Sheldon Haudenschild break through with a win. He's had a rough start to the season. Sweet DNFed in the make-up event this afternoon, then won tonight's. Here's the highlights of that one:

Bit of an odd night. They didn't have the track well prepared until they re-did before the feature, and that surface produced a fine main event with back and forth battles. Sweet was caught up in the Lap 1 crash but they had enough time under the red flag to fix the car (new front axle and new wing), and he climbed all the way back to 6th by the end.
