SILLY SEASON 2019

That would really screw Daniel Suarez.

And how much funding will Truex/19 team have next year?
yeah it could. But one of the richest men in the world Carlos Slim Dommit, and Arris aren't dumb when it comes to the court of public opinion, and right now they are dragging the preacher thru the mud. I got a feeling the fans in South America aren't too happy either with the way things are going.

True.

Silly Season: AJ Allmendinger move creates opening at JTG Daugherty

A.J. on the move, wonder where he is going. Allmendinger had a five-year contract that was to have taken him through the 2020 season.:idunno: So much for a contract
JTG Daugherty has a press conference scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It is expected to announce the driver of the No. 47 car for next season. Reports suggest that Ryan Preece could be that driver.

Preece...that would be cool

Press conference for RCR as well. My guess Hemric will be announced for the 31 on Friday and Preece for the 47.

I don't expect Preece to do much in a JTG car except get a big raise in pay and maybe a step up to a better ride if he really does well. Hard to do with this current package and that car.

Doesn't sound like Reddick is locked in at Jr motorsports. That could be interesting if he isn't. Lots of good choices in the truck series. Moffitt or Friesen join Gragson, it would be a hell of a team.

That makes more sense with A.J. having a contract until 2020, he probably wanted out and the split was mutual. He's much better on the curvy stuff.

You can break just about ANY contract, you just have to pay for the privilege, like Rick Hendrick did with Kasey Kahne. I also wonder if 2019 in AJ's contract might have been an option year?

That sounds like a funding issue. My guess is they don't have enough sponsorship right now to cover the whole season for him right now.

I think Friesen would be a good fit here...because he has sponsorship...Hattori has struggled finding sponsorship all year for Moffit. I honestly could see Reddick going to the 95 cup team

I like Reddick but I'd love to see Friesen or Moffit in a JRM car. If anyone has proved they deserve it, its Moffit. Hes been making chicken salad out of chicken **** his entire career.

I like Reddick tbh.

I think he has had a solid year, just about that halfway point he had a string of bad luck. He's a very good driver and just about every weekend he is up near the front. I think another season will do him good.

Friesen is good, but like Reddick he's erratic as all hell. Moffitt has paid his dues and Xfinity teams should start looking at him seriously.

18 yr old running full time in the K&N for David Gilliland's team currently in 2nd place.

Congrats to Ryan Preece, a genuine bootstrap story. And JTGD also announced Chris Buescher will be back, which was not assured until today. Also, JTGD will switch to Hendrick engines in 2019.

Congrats also to Daniel Hemric on his ride in the 31. Pockrass says RCR might change the number to 8, which would be cool.

I am super excited Hemric is driving the 31 (or an 8!!! car) next year. Might buy a shirt and hat of his next year. Wonder if he will outdrive Pop-Pop's grandson.

The thing I like about Preece, he looks like a throw back race car driver, big ol boy. Another thing about Preece, he builds his own cars, I guarantee he knows how to make one faster and for a small team that's a good deal.

I'm a fan of Hemric & Preece compared to some of these other newcomers to NASCAR & the Cup Series.
