'21 Generation 7 Car news

Interesting dates for that Phoenix test. I would have thought they'd tuck the new car in the same hauler with the finale car, and test it ASAP afterward, just to cut out an extra trip west. On the other hand, the cars may not be ready to bring along at that time.

Just random thoughts.
No room in the haulers, Phoenix is the last race of the year that will have practice, so teams will be bringing backups.

Watched a bit of the live feed...the cars sound great...but times or not, to my eyes the look slower. Maybe a pack of cars will change that thought.

They slow down significantly faster.

They can carry more momenteum it looks like through the bus stop chicane and front stretch chicane. Not to mention, it sounds like guys are getting on-throttle quicker.

I expect them to be slower on ovals, but road courses expect more speed.
And speed is good...it's welcome. Puts aside my previous fears that somehow the Xfinity cars could be faster. But they just didn't look fast to my eyes. (reaches for glasses and another look)

Larson airs one out. I don't know where Elliott is. Making T shirts or sweaters or something for the kiddies?

It is a bit mind boggling that the defending Cup champ hasn't driven the Next Gen car yet.

I’d love to know who nascar is pleasing with the 550 because the fan council doesn’t like it
The corner speeds they are comfortable with. That's all.

Yes,

O’Donnell and Kennedy and the rest of the Frances like what they are seeing so nothing else will change their mind.

I thought the 550 package was cool for a temporary “try something new” thing but it’s really ran it’s course.

At least we get to see who’s good at building engines.

Looks like the sealed bottom of the car is giving them fits with the heat
