I noticed that as well. Is it reverse on both sides? I thought I saw something about being regular on one side and reverse on the other due to direction of rotation

Wouldn't that require reversing the gun when changing sides of the car?

Left handed threads. My Mopar I used to have had them along with an old military trailer. They wer pretty common back in the day, the mopars used them for years. If the nuts are loose they have the opportunity to tighten

Same car re done in 8.5 hours

Left-front quarter panel ,The tail, Front fascia, Hood, Splitter, Front clip, Engine, Front suspension
This is crazy if you are an old school guy like me. Cant even wrap my head around how much they did and how quickly it was done. So unless you kill the center section you really dont need to bring a back up to the track, just the parts, theoretically.

Pretty revolutionary. I am not aware of any racing series that does it that way. That was a hard hit and he damaged the heck out of that car.

My question is, if during a normal race weekend car crashes early in practice like this one, are they allowed to change engine?

Yes, engine damage could occur during the crash so its allowable.
So it's possible team could bring a front clip with engine, suspension, radiator, etc all attached. With quick-connect fittings on all hoses & wiring, disconnect driveline, exhaust, wiring & hoses, steering shaft & brake lines, unbolt clip and roll it away complete.

I dont think the engine would be in it, that would be too much weight to try and line up the clip

CONCORD, N.C. – NASCAR will make a spoiler change for Thursday’s Next Gen organizational test, seeking to increase the speed of the cars.

NASCAR will cut the spoiler from 8 inches to 7 inches for Thursday’s session on the Charlotte Motor Speedway oval. The resulting speed change is expected to be the equivalent of adding 30 horsepower.

Probst praised the car after Austin Dillon’s crash, which happened a few minutes after the session began at 9 a.m. ET Wednesday. Dillon’s car was in the lower groove when he lost control and the car shot up the track, hitting the SAFER barrier nearly head-on.

Dillon was uninjured.

“It was a really good feeling knowing the car performed as designed,” Probst said. “Looking at the front bumper, it looked like it crushed the way it was designed to do. Talking with him, he felt like it wasn’t anything different than what he’s felt in the past.”

Probst categorized the impact as one “that’s on the more severe side but not what I would call a really severe (hit), probably on the high side to average for a weekend event for somebody that noses it in like that.”
