That is almost a third of the Chevy field...and Chad was saying the part didn't fit the CAD drawing..ya think?
....and it wasn't an issue for the other 2/3? Why do you think that is? Maybe a different take on the allowance to make the part fit? I mean all bull**** aside, we do understand what went on here, right? I feel like I am in a ****** kindergarten classroom where one kid punched another in the face after being told by the teacher to settle it on their own. "You didn't tell me I couldn't."

All of that stuff is in the past so it's time to look forward to the future...and the future is looking pretty bright for the HMS teams...except for one. :booya:

It's all water under the bridge. The decision has been rendered. Like it or hate it, but move on. It's not worth getting hot at each other.
I think some just really like to yank each other's chain -- deliberately provoking each other into a reply. Gets old in a hurry.

I agree.

I agree 100%.

As much as it may distress you, "Jeffy" has EARNED the right to say whatever the hell he wants to about the situation. Unlike any of us here, he has an actual skin in the game, he has 30 years of being in the NASCAR trenches, AND, he knows the actual FACTS of the situation, so if ANYONE should be shutting up, well..........

Zane Smith to the 24 would be dope. I would buy merchandise instead of whatever they’re doing right now lol

Screw that. He us a Yes Man for the Ex Con, and he is advancing a narrative that strokes his ego. You're damn right he knows the facts. That's what makes his incessant grandstanding so pathetic. He doesn't have skin in the game. His dinner doesn't depend on anything. This is a rich boy's game at the common man's expense. You bit.

Shhhh....Trying to figure out how to get him in one of MY Toyotas.

Zane Smith is one of the few drivers I actually want to watch. Byron is too much of a villain to be in the 24. He would be a decent driver for the 12 or 19 IMO.

I fear John Hunter in the 19. Like the kid, but he isn't it IMO.

Nah, I think JHN adds a lot of value to the ratings and interest of the Cup Series. These drivers like Byron, I’m sorry I’ll get hated on as a couch potato, don’t bring the entertainment value.

I hope we see JRM move up the 88 for Truex/Berry by 2025 but I have my doubts.

Would you rather he grandstand WITHOUT knowing the facts? I guess you would since that's exactly what you have been doing since this started. Yes, he DOES have a skin in the game. He took ownership in the team when others only took money and he become a true working member of the management team, not just a figurehead doing photo ops. He has become the public face of HMS, so everything that happens to that team, good or bad reflects on him.

I don’t think he’s a villain but he’s not interesting either way. Not likable enough nor unlikable enough to really move the needle at all. Pure milquetoast.

A seeming lack of personality has just never been much of a concern to me when choosing a driver, and it started as a small kid when my first heroes were Johnny Rutherford and Al Unser, two guys that could blend into a crowd as easily as a tax accountant.

Zane Smith outdrove KB in the Xfinity series in house this year twice.

I think he's the real deal. HMS is locked up for another decade, but man, you wonder where he'd end up. If Track house fields a third car, they'd throw him right in, imo.

How about he says, "Thank you," and shuts his smug mouth? Jeffy won't go broke if The Chain Gang has an offseason or they get penalized, and you know that. Thus, no skin.

Elton has "facts" that are apparently different from Jeffy's. Who's ranting?

They dominated?
I think it's a reasonable take, even though the Gibbs cars made more pace over a run. The Gibbs cars were better, probably from lap 30 in a run onward, but really came to life deeper into stage 2, and stage 3. Byron lead over 100 laps, Larson was better than Byron and probably had the best car over the first 30 laps.

While the Gibbs cars were better over the course of the entire run in the second half of the race, I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the *race* was dominated by HMS given the laps lead and finishing position.

Fastest cars don't always win, and fastest cars don't always lead the most laps. Execution is a huge part of it. Bell screwed up, and James Small... well, their radio Convo speaks for itself, j think.

I don't see The Chain Gang as having dominated. They beat the best cars because they executed. They led a little over half of the laps....and that would have looked very different if MY Toyotas could pull off decent and consistent pit stops. I think moving forward the story really is that The Chain Gang has a wide margin for error on any given weekend because their cars are so good (questionable legality however), and their execution has been exceptional. They can unload mediocre, and still win. MY Toyotas...and Ford...not so much. The gap can be closed IF WE get our heads out of our asses.

Jeffy just can't stop talking.

Elton can say whatever he wants, the fact of the matter is the appeals panel didn't see it that way. Rick Hendrick could close the race team today, bulldoze the buildings into the pond behind the training field and walk away without it effecting his life one bit. Does that mean HE doesn't have a skin in the game?

Yes. I don't disagree as far as Sunday went. I'm not using dominated interchangeably with pace though. I think that's where we are differing.
