Jeremy Clements Suspended for Making "Insensitive" Remarks in Interview

I'm starting to think he said something during a postrace interview on pit road that wasn't taken well.

Here's where I have a problem. The "apology" mentions an interview with a writer. So, the reporter appears to have taken the comments to NASCAR. That's what we would say is "making the news" instead of "reporting the news". And now, that reporter is sitting on an interview with comments that merited an "indefinite suspension".

april 98 Eddie Gossage just shut up and race, a different culture and time.

Thank goodness we have advanced to an era where drivers cant talk as they did before, unless it is about how good Brian or Helton taste.
In 98 you at least had a reasonable idea of what the drivers thought. Now apart from a Brad their just cyborgs reading scripts.

How about Tony saying Goodyear sucks and he would have them all removed from his vehicles tomorrow, (monday morning after the race day comment) and he did indeed make such a claim a few years ago.

But it won't happen now, drivers are trained and today he would ask for a Goodyear condom first before disrespecting them, because "them wonderful goodyears feel better than any real Suzie McCoy".
And all the good Nascar fans are suppose to swallow it as gospel.

NASCAR should go ahead and make it clear to up and coming drivers that real racers like Jeremy Clements, who are in it for the racing and not the money, aren't welcome in NASCAR.

Until more details come forth, I'm giving NASCAR the benefit of the doubt doubt here. I mean, saying the race sucks, or officials looked the other way is one thing, but words like ""intolerable and insensitive remark" don't fit anything like that. Unlike most in this thread, I'm waiting to pass judgement on either side until some more information is made public.

C'mon man, everyone trying to get into NASCAR is in it for the dough.

Oh bull****. If Clements was in it for the money, he'd start and park like Nemecheck and the other dip****s who have decided they're just going to run three laps. He'd save a lot of money doing that instead of cutting tires, wrecking cars and breaking engine parts.

Hmm...if he was serious about NASCAR racing I'd figure he'd have more than three top 10's in 104 starts in his 8 year endeavor.

There should be a big line up of cars wanting to take Michael McDowell's spot on the lucrative s&p run this weekend.Who could pass up that easy money?

"I think she's stuck up and not really that pretty, although I wouldn't turn her down). Both the NASCAR fans and NASCAR have a fixed pole for her. Really don't like that cause she doesn't deserve it but she opened herself up to stuff like this. And for what? Another pole at Daytona(LOL). Come on, either win or be a another pretty face kissing the winner."

-Jeremy Clements (per a NASCAR fan page on Facebook that rarely posts anything unless they know it to be accurate.)

Priceless :lol2:

and btw this is complete bull**** if that is all he said and he gets suspended but Michael Annett doesn't get suspended for his DUI arrest a few years ago.

Well that was dumb. Not a fan of hers, but they didnt give her the poll. Still dont see the need to suspend him. The weight of the comment has a natural built in price. I have respected his efforts, but he will not get much sponsorship with or without nascars help, this case really isnt that significant.

But I still dont care for the censorship.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist type person but this is beginning to smell. We know what Jeremy Clements has said about both the piss poor Daytona 500 and the whole Danica thing. We don't know what he said to earn his suspension. Why would a reporter interview Clements and why would a reporter turn it over to NASCAR instead of running the headline. I'm sorry but something doesn't smell right. If he made a racist remark, publish the context already. If not, admit that NASCAR's butthurt he said mean things about Danica and move on.

I see a whole bunch of ***** ass coward ass pussified pussies walking around right now.
