Bristol in the spring..... I've had my water freeze to my RV and I've been sunburnt sitting in the stands watching the race. I've seen snowball fights on pit road and I've had to take extra ice to keep my adult beverages cold. Seen Kurt Busch lay down and do snow angels on the track after a victory. Bad celebration by the way. You never know what you're going to get with that place.

I hate the high groove racing at Bristol. Leads to less bump and runs. Hope it gets fixed.

Not me. I hate the chiken**** bump and runs. Stalk a driver do some rubbing, or incendental contact that's all good
stuff (ex Craven/Kurt at Darlington). But the Gordon bump and runs and Earnhardt dumps to Labonte were cheap.

There is a science to wearing down a driver making him use up his tires and forcing a mistake. But it takes about 15 minutes or more to materialize, it a beautiful thing to watch. Gordon performed it masterfully on Johnson at Martinsville spring 2012.
I wouldn't trade one of those for a million cheap bump and runs crutched by phantom cautions.

The bump and run was a consequence of drivers being utterly unable to pass . Lapped traffic had no chance to get out of the way because it was a one groove track .Faster cars had no way to get by slower cars . The bump and run was simply a necessary evil which created bullies out of some cars and victims out of others . All of the drivers that I ever heard , preferred to be able to make a clean pass rather then wreck their competitors . Fans thought it was fun when their driver was doing the bumping but not so much when their driver was bumped into the wall.

The lapped and slower cars preferred to be moved rather than get out of the groove?

Unfortunately the weather forecast for Sunday is worsening. Based on several sites I've looked at, now a 70-90% chance of rain with some snow even possible, and Monday not looking a whole lot better :(

Rain tires!

j.k but I really wish they could figure out some way to race in the rain. I know super speedways would be out but short track racing and road courses....-sigh- Just miss racing.

/end soapbox

Damn straight! That would be one helluva show! Put some grooves in those tires and have at it. That would be awesome.

While we're at it I'll go out on a limb and predict that Brett Bodine will lead the most laps in that race.

I hear what you are saying, but it would be sheer skill to drive around that that track even if speeds were down. Guess thats why I liked ARCA indentical cars, pure driver skill.

Well ****.... :( I was looking forward to some good ol' short track racing too.

My only hope is that around this time two weeks ago, we all thought the Cup race at Phoenix was gonna be a washout, and it turned out that weather wasn't a factor. Hopefully that'll be the case this Sunday too.
