2014 Bristol - Food City 500 - Pre Race Thread

While the talking heads yammer about this car beong the fastest that Nascar has ever seen, the speeds are down about a 1/4 second from last year.

Everyone's wrecking already. By time the race starts Sunday night or Monday the rubber will washed away too. Should be an exciting night race.

Danica...It would be cool to root for you, but....GEEZ!

If Michael McDowell is second right now I have a feeling the track record is in danger. Everyone else is in race trim and he's in q trim. Brad is about 3 tenths off right now in race trim.

quite a few drivers and crew chiefs are shaking their heads about now. Qualifying should be pretty good.

Kyle Busch looking to lead 10,000 laps: #18-Kyle Busch is approaching a major series milestone, one that could come this Sunday at Bristol. With 140 laps led - something he's done four times at Bristol - Busch will become the 15th driver in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history with 10,000 laps led.
