2022 Silly Season

It's just engines for now.

We have to remember, next season is a clean slate for everyone.
It's gotta be more than engines if it's a tie to Roush-Yates engines and SHR. SHR has nothing to do with the engines, so Ware is probably purchasing setups from them since the chassis parts are all common items anyway.

Mr. Mediocre coming from the back of the field twice to place P6, their 9th top 10 on the season so far.

6 more top 10s than Aric Almirola
6 more than Bubba Wallace
2 more than Austin Dillon
1 more than Ross Chastain
Just 3 fewer than Kurt Busch

Cowards out here not putting him in a solid seat.

They don’t care, they will still make jokes and act like he isn’t putting up great numbers

I've got five bucks that says Harrison Burton will will need three seasons to get nine top tens.

Don’t tell that to Reddit LOL. He would look good in a Busch Series car or KBM Truck or something.

I can’t really have an opinion on his talent because I’m not totally up to speed on him, and the new car changes everything as far as who will be competitive, but the move to HB still reeks of sponsorship retention over driver retention.

I'll bite.

He has two problems.

One, he does not have an agent. It helps to have an agent and show something in terms of interest outside of his faith.

Two, he has all the ability to market himself and just doesn't.

Dude needs an agent. Otherwise, he'll be at RWR next season.

Not having an agent would be one of the reasons TO hire him. An agent is like a consultant. A guy that borrows your watch to tell you what time it is.

With him gone, I doubt they move to 5 cars. All 4 cars are filled now
They would run TEN cars if enough sponsorship came forward. All it would take would be the current 1 car sponsors to sign back on.....

I was told his constant social media presence and vlogging was a detriment to his future.

Now he’s not marketing himself enough.
Dude, I like the guy.

Like he's an awesome man, met him person and is about one of nicest people out here in the NASCAR Universe. It's not a detriment to me, but how do you think Anthony Alfredo got a seat at the Cup level?

Alfredo has a great management team behind him (Dillon Management) and he's extremely active on social media. Avid iRacer, Twitch streamer, etc. It's a lot of work and everyone gets there differently.

Bro, you keep bringing Matt D up. I've never said he was mediocre, I never doubted his ability, and I have no issue with him. It's hella unfortunate, however he's known for a year he was going to be out of a seat.

So, you're telling me a year after the announcement of Cindric coming in that you didn't do ANYTHING to propel yourself forward? Nah dawg, that's on him for not being proactive.

Hol up, just want to make clear that I’m not tryna be hostile towards you or put words in your mouth.

Matt has long acknowledged everything when announcements were made in 2020. Theres some revisionist history in this thread on the timeline of events and technicalities of being out of the car vs being a free agent, but I digress.

The only thing I’m pointing out with that post is showing that Matt is obviously capable of racing with the top dogs when the team chemistry is good. Matt even said this, and it was blown off as untalented fodder.

The dude is legit and teams who have funding, but no results, are missing out.

You do realize that the 1 car probably doesn't exist without the sponsorship he was bringing?

You’d think Jackman would know giving Annetts history in ARCA. 🤷‍♂️

Annett hasnt been the same since RPM/TBR days, but that money is badly needed
