2022 Silly Season

You've got to be kidding. It's just my opinion, but Jimmie needs to disappear like Carl Edwards to stop the constant embarrassment that he is heaping upon himself.

In the long run, it won't really matter... his legacy will shine brightly despite the embarrassment of him hanging on way too long like DW did and Richard did and many others. But for a period of years from now until the "long run" arrives, JJ/48 is just tarnishing his legacy and I hate to see it.
Completely agree. Jimmie has the All Star career in the bag, he's got nothing to prove in NASCAR. The only and I mean ONLY reason for him to do a Cup start is to experience the Next Gen Car. Smarter to wait a few years for the Next Gen tech to trickle down to Xfinity, then do a vanity start for HMS or Junior.

How is a 46 year-old rookie embarassing himself?

Y'all take stuff a bit too seriously, let the man enjoy racing.
This. I’d bet JJ isn’t up at night wondering if the members of RacingForums.com think he is “tarnishing his legacy.” Whatever that means…. If he’d race again in one Cup race, a whole season or a Trucks or Xfinity race I think it’d be great to see him do that

He’s selling tickets and gaining interest, everyone has their opinion I guess.

Should be running a few Indy Lights races instead of jumping to the top IMO.

Marco has always been a one trick pony to me, the male version of Danica. Great at Indy, pretty much sucks everywhere else.

Joey Hand, former driver for Chip Ganassi's Ford GTLM program/DTM/GT3, will be making his debut this weekend:

For Rick Ware, no less. However, Hand is a highly coveted driver. I wonder if Rick has sports cars in mind again after his attempt at the Rolex 24?

Pick Em pick this week?

Are you going to be at the Roval this weekend @Kiante ? Does RE have anything new in terms of the intercom headsets? I have two RE scanners (3000 series I think, unsure of numbers. Program over the air at track) and the Gemini intercom headsets. The headsets have always seemed much quieter than the non intercom version, even on full volume. Mreh, sorry to derail. Carry on.

Which Gemini model? The newest model I think is the 5, I'll have to brush up on that though.

I should be there, but not to work. I'll be there to watch just like any other fan tbh.

I remember he was one of the six drivers during BMW's return to DTM in 2012, good to see him in NASCAR.

4 or 5, but I think 5. It’s the one that wires straight into neighbor’s headset

He’s been out of work for a while so Ford are giving him something decent to drive:

I never was impressed with Marco. I thought he was another in a line of drivers who thought he should be a racer because that's the family business, not someone super passionate about it. I will say he looked better than I thought in the SRX series. If they want to give him a shot, I say go ahead.

Outside of Redbull will this be the first European owned Cup team?
