Take note Rev, it's those cheating All new Fords this year.
How in the actual ****....after all of that testing....do we get to the place where we need to tweak a nose? Campbell's palms are sweating, and Mr. H. is now on Line 1. He isn't happy.

When they do these wind tunnel tests I'm assuming its the gold standard body? Would be interesting to see the numbers after a couple races. They're given plus or minus .150" so I have to imagine that a push here and a pull there will help some more than others

I'm just glad they didn't touch those "all new" Nascar approved Chevy Camaro's. We would have never heard the end of it.

Well, they did let them take the louvres out of the hood vents...
Chevy louvres will feature spring-loaded ejection, allowing the driver to either improve ventilation or draw a caution. HMS teams will be allowed to reset / reinstall louvres two times per event; Elliott, three

A brand new car helps too. Hypothetically.

Toyota and Chevy should have been stuck with an inferior nose since their engineers couldn't come up with an equal to the Ford nose in the first try, right?
Yes. You are damn right. 100%. I sat through 2 wins in 2014. WE sucked. I took my medicine. No do overs then I guess, right?

Word games. There is a difference between a nose and a car.
Looks like you have a mental block. The Chevy's didn't whine for three years with an obviously slower car. So with great expense on their part they upgraded with a newer version and a new motor which will have you continueing with your veil of tears.

I missed what happened with Blaney’s car. It looked like he was done…but he made it back on the track quickly. Anyone know? Before the race I read each team had two crew members in the infield, so two guys got his car going again?

Travis Geisler was on the late shift said it was a broken toe link. Currently not a part that is allowed to be changed with the damaged vehicle policy, but with the clash the rules are pretty loose. Apparently with the new car its easy to change (just 2 bolts), so they say it something that could be changed on pit road in 1.5 to 2 min. Trying to see if nascar will add that to parts that can be replaced under the damaged vehicle policy

Shocking that it didn't take any whining to get a new car. Telling. "Great expense"? I thought that was your Toyota narrative. So, you must see the concern for the industry if one manufacturer dumps "great expense" into a car that was supposed to last one year. The same manufacturer that spends the least in promoting the sport. Interesting. Nice motor. Too bad Mr. H's bunch couldn't figure it out without the RCR bunch. Should we start a thread if Chevy even cares anymore?

How do you figure?

I don't care how many commercials Toyota pays to put on TV during a race. They are promoting their own product, nothing more. Dodge spends a lot on advertising too; you gonna tell us they are promoting NASCAR? :XXROFL:
Marketing Major? Sheesh. SMDH.

Care to elaborate?

Of course you don't, because you know you can't.
If you can't see how Toyota running advertisements during race broadcasts isn't promoting the sport, I have nothing for you.

New car, blah blah blah. Everyone knows Hendrick Motorsports turned it around when Mr. H stopped buying so many Corvettes and focused on the team. /S
Mr. H. has creative ways to get those most sought after Corvettes for sure.

You can't see it either, because it doesn't make sense. Maybe you should look up "promote" in the dictionary, or learn how advertising works. Is Dodge/RAM promoting NASCAR in their commercials? What about Symbicort, Liberty Mutual, etc? I'm eager to hear your explanation on this one.

Yeah, donating millions to benefit charity is "creative"

Exactly. Toyota, and any other company, is not using their brand to boost NASCAR so much as they're using NASCAR (their audience) to booth themselves. It does nothing to promote NASCAR to have Toyota inflatable signs at the racetrack. Maybe if they put inflatable NASCAR signs up in all their dealership showrooms, then they would be promoting NASCAR. But they don't do that.

It's being said here as if Toyota is shelling out millions over the years to help NASCAR out of their kindness of their hearts. That's delusional.
